But FFX somehow is actually fun and not boring. The fact is that I replayed it again on ps3, and the feeling is the same when I played it on ps2. FF13 problems were not a linear story, it is linear gameplay.
They will, when xbox starting to really catch up with PS4 sales. Otherwise why would they? Does a price cut really boost sales bigger than the potential loss of a price cut. There is many things to consider in a business, not just competition.
I think lying and not telling that they actually only won in North America is a different thing.
You really like FF13 huh? To me the game annoys me too much for me to like it. Is it bad? Far from it. Just a disappointing game for a very promising concept.
If you're considering MMO then I think A Realm Reborn arguably is one of the most expensive one. Overhauling from an almost totally unplayable broken state to a not quite amazing but really works needs a lot of money and guts. But it is worth it though..

Mass Effect 2? lol seriously? I'm someone who just don't like ME2 that much, but in number 2, of all time?? This kind of article needs someone who's really into rpgs, and the best rpgs are in the 90s. The writer should change the title to the only RPGs he/she ever played.

@kstap, so what? Demon's Souls is in my top 5 games last gen, even Dark Souls didn't make it. They didn't sell good because Atlus isn't that good at marketing. One of the main reason From switch to BamCo.

The first one (Mass Effect) was more of an RPG than a shooter. It is why I like that one the most.

New vegas was really good at making choices. And even sometimes I don't realize that I made one. It makes Mass Effect looks like child's play. Even Dragon Age has follow suit in mainstreaming their choices to cater casual players. In Origins the choice were still more diverse
This is indeed my favorite on ps1, and it got vivi, my favorite caharacter in all of the series. Games just got too serious and gloomy in the last decade.

Man, i've just played that game last summer, and it is still freakin awesome. How they cope with the budget limitation is what made this game more unique
It is square enix, what do you expect? They can't even finish vs13, and 15 release is still nowhere in sight, it has been 8 years since. Most like they'll troll you with chrono trigger rerelease on ps4. Or is it already out??
If type0 turns out good, then my hope for xv returns. Actually, I really like all of their 2014 games, bravely, x/x2, kh 2.5, and yes even lightning returns. I do hope they continue this trend after a dissapointing generation. As of right now, I just bought drakengard 3. If turns out that i like that game, then they have my faith back.

Is this a good thing? Stick of Truth were only 12-15 hours, but that is my pick for best RPG 2014.
