Well I heard some comment months ago that this remake was developed by a third party developer with SE only acting as supervisor. But it was never confirmed.. So who knows, I was very surprised they already put voice acting in the teaser
I think all those word choices we saw are all translator words. SE are Japanese, and I don't see them often use English in interviews (unlike Nintendo who often use english, or even kojima recently). Maybe it is really an episodic game, or giant pile of dlcs put together that can be bought separately, or maybe they just don't know what is the true final version will be (like vs13). Probably what they actually mean were lost in translation, at least I really hope for they don't scr...

Why not, it's like saying I like mangos better than oranges. For me, I did not get what's fun about ff8 or the really disappointing 13. My most favorite is 6,9, and Tactics. And also you should play 9, it's quite easy, didn't need much grinding, compared to 6,7,or 8 the story is very light, most of all is the characters and the world itself.
Exactly man, the crazy hunts, espers, and secret weapons if i may add.. Zodiac Job System too, it fixed the unbalanced weapon system a bit.. This is one the games that the gameplay so deep and addcitive, I don't care about how mediocre the story and the characters are..

I really wanted them to leave 7 alone and focusing on KH3 or FFXVI. But this happened, now I'm hoping they won't ruin its legacy. After all, for me, this game alongside horizon and last guardian make sony won best e3 conference after crazy fallout 4 stuff and hololens demo.

You're only stating the big obvious franchises, but I'm hoping for new titles/franchises to get the game of the generation. Last gen, only skyrim, mario galaxy, and fallout are established names that i think deserved the title. Uncharted, AssCreed, Bioshock, Portal, Witcher, Dragon Age, L4D, Last of Us, Gears, and Souls are all new ones. I have high hopes that new franchises can surprise me.

The last big japanese rpg franchise that still missing. Tales and Final Fantasy is still alive, Kingdom Hearts going is back to home consoles after years stuck in handhelds, and even Star Ocean got revived.
Been out of the game?? since 2008 he and his team has already made TWEWY, 358/2, Birth By Sleep, and Dream Drop Distance.. vs13 is just SE making their biggest messed up plan that got the fans really riled up. With XV, he doesn't have a big influence except for the core concept.. XV is 100% Tabata's game now.

Oh come on, Dark Souls is not a complete cash-in, DS2 is. FromSoft is just experimenting on making a Demon Souls without a nexus hub. Although I agree completely Demon is a whole lot better than Dark.
Oh please, not another hd remaster idea.. Even if this game is really good, they should just release it digitally so vita players can play it. Or is it already is? I dunno.
I would start in 9.. but if you could handle or prefer sprites, I suggest 6 or 4. Those are my most favorite ones. FF 7 & 8 has a more serious dark toned story. 5 if you don't care about story and want mix and match jobclasses. 10 if you want straight balanced storytelling from start to finish. Tactics if you are patient and a bit masochist. I don't recommend 12 & 13 because they really opinionated from person to person, and kinda lost the original FF feel.
