Firstly yes, I am a fanboy, so what? Doesnt change what people are saying, 'Nintendo needs to bring new stuff to the table like everyone else'...yet everything new is more of the same. Is that bad? Hardly. I like more of the same to some degree(though a name doesnt always make things the same), and so do others. But everyone hanging Nintendo bc they SHOWED more of the same, when in reality they actually have some decent variety this year is nonsense.

Yes, during their digital event...but what about Devil's Third, Xenoblade, Fatal Frame? Star Fox has not had a console iteration in like 8 years, and Super Mario Maker is a creation game first, platformer second, so different direction. What did everyone else show that has people hyped exactly? Sequels, yearly installments, and remakes...just because Nintendo has been around longer doesnt somehow give the other companies a free pass, while everyone is saying, 'wow ninendos event wa...
Every company can learn from one another...with that said, uou have the audacity to say dont make games with the same nintendo characters, but what did you get? Uncharted remake, Uncharted sequel, Final Fantasy remake, yearly installments in half a dozen third party games, oh, and the Last Guardian. Shenmue is barely a concept and coming for PC, FFVII for PC, pretty much all third party on PC, so what was there again?

Agree completely...that Federation Force 'thing'(the fact that its even a thing is embarassing) is an insult to the Metroid and Prime names, and the amiibo focus really got under my skin a bit, but quite frankly the games lineup between now and the end of the year are quite awesome, in my personal opinion. I just hope this is a lesson to Nintendo, and that lesson should be:

I just need to say this, people are completely overreacting. The digital event was a flop, not gonna lie, but how did they do so much worse than Sony? A bunch of games coming 1-2 years+ down the line, one that hardly looks different from the 2009 reveal...this year we will have to play:
Star Fox
Devils Third
Fatal Frame V
Super Mario Maker
Xenoblade Chronicles X
Yoshis Wooly World
Plus all the other fluff they showed ...
Shadow of the Eternals, hopefully bundled with a remaster/remake of Eternal Darkness

Am I the only one who thinks that we will see Shadow of the Eternals come to the Wii U? Possibly with Eternal Darkness bundled in, akin to Bayo 1/2? As well as possibly seeing another Platunum game, probably exclusive if we do? My hype level is through the roof, especially if either of those happen plus a new Paper Mario? I feel awesomeness incoming...
If true, it would be another great game to add to the Wii U's growing library...I will take that any day of the week :)

So addictive and fun...I keep finding myself when I want to stop and do something else saying, 'just one more game'...about 15 games later is when I actually end up stopping...
I agree with him completely...outside of enjoying a few go arounds of gears and halo, onlinr shooters just arent 'fun' to me. Entertaining, sure. Fun? Not really. This was fun. I was having a blast playing the demo, I didnt want the hour to end. That said, you also said 'go to a LAN party. I hardly consider LAN online, its more akin to local multiplayer, in which case I have had tons of fun with lots of shooters, favorites being Goldeneye 64, Conkers Bad Fur Day, Timesplitt...
I believe they were also region free, and they had a disc drive instead of a top loading port
