They've been ''making moves'' since June 2017 (6 yrs), how much longer do people need to wait and see results? 10, 15 years?. The only ones concerned are the xbox fans and the biased media trying their best. No one from any other platform is gonna jump ship to join xbox/gamepass.

Texture pop in is minor at least on my PS5 and they improved the shimmering but still a bit present in performance mode.

I feel you, something weird is going on with the performance mode, I think it has to do with the 1800p upscaling/AA and checkerboard.
It's not just a rendering engine issue, it's a content issue. Main problem is that HFW has a lot of really small, moving geometry, while being rendered at a sub-native resolution and upscaled. The AA solution just can't catch and resolve it consistently, so it shimmers.
Most games don't have this issue (or, rather, it isn't...
Don't care what they do just make it good cause I'm a big fan of the TR series, I'll be buying day 1, I'm one of the few PS fans that prefers TR over Uncharted, I know ND and all their games are leagues ahead in everything but I prefer Lara.
