As long as ISPs continue to push ridiculous data caps and low speeds for high prices, particularly here in the US, game streaming will never be viable.
PS4 and Xbox are still on par in terms of performance and the benefits of crossplay still remain. It increases the population of a game and allows it to last longer. And when it comes to co-op games, you don't need to worry about a performance difference between platforms as much as you would in a competitive setting. The author is reaching a bit. Sure, crossplay doesn't always equal Xbox/PS4, but with the current conversation about crossplay being just that, along with Switch, Todd Howard likely thought that was what the interviewer was asking about, so he answered with what we all know: Sony isn't allowing it to happen right now. The author even says that Todd Howard wasn't asked about PC/Xbox crossplay.
I'm assuming this is remaining multiplat since it was announced and intended to be that before the acquisition. Going forward, their future games will likely be Xbox exclusives.

From Epic's statement announcing cross play. It's not that Microsoft is not allowing crossplay for Xbox. They've been all for it. Sony's paying Epic to not let it happen.

Our game sucked. Clearly it wasn't the so-so story, mediocre characters, the interference from EA or the technical issues. It was the white males on staff. Yep.
To answer your first question; yeah, that's how it'll be. Right now, the original Xbox One and Xbox One S are the entry level models. The One X is the premium model. When the successor to the One X is released, the One X will become the base/entry level model with the new console being the top tier/premium one. As for what'll happen with the original Xbox One and One S, nobody knows yet. They could be dropped entirely, or Microsoft could instead keep those the budget, entry level ...
I must be missing something. The only difference between the two pics is that Joel's flashlight is off in the 1.08 pic and in the 1.09 pic, it's on, creating the shadows. Shouldn't it be on in both to show the differences?
Sucks that the game is delayed, but at least they're trying to make it better rather than just release it broken/unfinished and call it a day.

Agreed. Regardless of who's really at fault here for Scalebound's cancellation (some say MS mismanaged, while others say Platinum was too ambitious and couldn't deliver); the point stands that Microsoft really needs to get their act together and go all in on cultivating some homegrown talent and getting a strong lineup of first party studios. Gears, Halo and Forza are great and all, but they can't carry the Xbox brand forever.

I'd even say that it's better than most full priced games that came out this year. The amount of story development and side content you get for $20 is pretty damn good. CD Projekt Red is one of the few devs that do DLC right.
