They've spent years on this, a cash in would've been pumped out after six months of development with little thought or care for the finished product.

I find it ironic that the creator of Gundam hates gaming so much yet when games are made about Gundam he becomes mysteriously quiet.
I think the it's as critically liked as God of War 3 Mercury Steam will be ecstatic, I doubt they are expecting it to be considered better though.
My guess is because steering a car with a wand would be about as fun as casting spells with a steering wheel.
I'm still not convinced it needs Metal Gear in the name to sell, ecspecially since it hardly looks like a stealth title.
As for being able to use stealth; sure we can, but we're playing as a cyborg ninja with awesome powers, stealth isn't going to feel as badass as just running around cutting everything down.
Most of that stuff hasn't been replaced, and if it has in some games then you should blame the devs for being lazy and not some arbitrary reward system.
Who is developing it?
For me, all that matters is if I'm having fun, and I have lots of fun getting trophies and achievements. If you don't like to then that's fine, just don't get on a soapbox and proclaim to the world that trophies are ruining gaming, because it's just not true.
They remove nothing, they simply show the world what you have achieved. Take off your rose tinted glasses and you would see that, at the very least, trophies and achievements are not ruining gaming.
I hope Plants vs. Zombies will come to PSN someday.

I hate Boba Fett fanservice, it was thanks to people going crazy about some random extra with a cool helmet that George Lucas retconned the whole damn series to make him a pivotal character in the new trilogy. And then he later said he had planned that all along! WTF Lucas?
