I think if you ask the people who own both consoles, you'd find that the X1 is the preferred console. In my case it definitely is.

Game is super fun. It's fun at 720p, if true it'll be fun at 1080p. Simple as that, really doesn't matter.

40 is way bigger than the alpha/beta, I'm thinking that rumor of 25% resolution for textures in the alpha was probably true, probably alot higher resolution audio to perhaps.
Star citizen is a game that will never live up to the expectations, guarantee that games gonna be a turd.
No I buy multiplatforms for the x1, the seamless entertainment experience is more important to me than a little extra pixel count for frame rate. I have a gaming PC if I want to get the best out of games graphically.

So far in the battle for my living room my x1 has totally shut out my ps4. My ps4 has been sitting in the closet for weeks now, Sony is going to have to step up there game and do something to earn a spot back in my entertainment cabinet.

We already know the Japanese don't buy Xboxes. So since everyone including microsoft assumed 0 X1 sales in Japan, I fail to see how the PS4 releasing there has any bearing on the X1 at all.
Honestly I wish developers could just make a great game and let it stand at that in some cases, and make something new.
Bioshock should have not had any sequels, and also Dead Space should have been a stand alone game. None of the sequel games holds a candle to the originals.

I don't even have it hooked up. For me the network is more important then a little more resolution on multiplatforms. I mean they aren't even close to comparable. These are both the same wired network and they speak for themselves.
