Hugely anticipated sequel after the first game was such a smash hit. Gameplay looks great. Can't wait to see what they do with the second game.
Love a bit of nostalgia. It's the music if these games that does it every time for me.. as soon as I hear those tunes it's like I'm reliving g my childhood.
Looks fantastic. More Playstation goodness! Can't wait to see more at PAX
Not sure a remaster would make sense this close to Catalyst. I still maintain the whole Mirrors Edge franchise is a little at odds with EA's normal business model. Seems like they're desperate to convince people they aren't the worlds worst company to work for :P
Who said anything about Knack?
But No Man's Sky doesn't fit conventional genres. It's premise seems to be a huge expansive exploration game with multiple different facets. So I think people have every right to question it's substance.. especially since Hello Games have been fairly vague on what the game is.
Don't get me wrong, I'm super excited about No Man's Sky though..
PS plus needs to improve, but the issue is that developers loose money by putting their games forward for the service. Releasing an Uncharted game for free makes no business sense at all. They just made a huge amount of money with the Nathan Drake collection - and Uncharted does not need any publicity lol. Anybody who uses PSN already has a PlayStation, and if you own a PlayStation you already know Uncharted.
Rocket League is the most successful game released for free - went ...
Absolutely agree. First person on PC is way better. And no, Horror games are a different story, that game was sweet in first person.
Couldn't disagree more! First person perspective doesn't suit stealth games because of the lack of peripheral vision. I like feeling like a badass in stealth games, but in first person I feel clumsy. I never quite know where anybody is, which is part of the reason why games such as Dishoured grants players an xray vision ability; the games just dont work well without them. But I do agree first person is a more immersion experience. Deus Ex has it right, first person with 3rd person co...
Certainly a niche genre, but these games are normally really fun. Faced paced arcade combat is always a good time. Sounds super short though! Good to see an alternate genre still appreciated.
I must admit, I'm not a Zelda fan, but I do understand concerns about the series loosing it's identity. It's a similar concern I have with FF7 remake - if the game is too influenced by popular modern gaming ideals, is the character of the game, from a tonal point of view, spoilt?
Twilight Princess went in a far more western influenced direction, and wasn't received as well because of it.
Definitely sounds a lot like Farscape. I used to love that show as a kid, a game with a similar premise sounds superb.
I'm a big fan of twin stick shooters and this one looks very entertaining. Perfect for the Vita!
Its normally a case of; seen one RPG maker game, seen them all. That being said, there are some gems out there that do use that engine.. This looks like it could still be worth a shot. Thanks for review..
Yes this one sunder much better on paper than in practice. At least the level editor functions well.. hopefully there's ongoing support for the game among its community.
As the industry continues to expand, games become more commercial and less innovative. There's nothing wrong with hype, it's just a shame when gamers are continually let down by corporate decisions behind the scenes. I'm still hopeful for the Last Guardian :)
You can't beat a proper control surface. Touch just isn't satisfactory for proper gaming. The games on mobile are generally terrible anyway, and all of the decent ones play better when ported to 3DS or Vita :p
No third party support is such a blunder. Wii U has sold poorly for that reason.. why on earth are Nintendo so stubborn?
I thought exactly the same after watching game play footage. It looks decent enough, but Ubisoft need to respect the franchise. They should take more of a break between releases.
I'd love a solid single player Star Wars game. Unfortunately, despite the whole gaming community slandering EA for the way in which Battlefront was released, nobody has voted with their wallets and the game has been a huge financial success. Say goodbye to single player games if that continues :/
