Yeah, if they ported Dawn of War 2 to consoles it would see hardly any sales, even though the gameplay is somewhat similar.

Probably not, since there's so many multiplat games. Maybe if MS just stopped making exclusives entirely... but even if they recycled Halo/Gears/Fable (which they'll do) over and over they'd be fine.

I'm excited for both... one is a TPS and the other is a brawler. They can coexist peacefully and both be fun games.
However, there has been much more shown about infamous and it looks like it has better production values. The team doing prototype did hulk ultimate destruction, though.. so you know it will be fun.
There was definitely smack talking before MS entered the market, mainly in the genesis days.

Not surprised at all, especially with the responses. Playslaves stumble around trying to defend their purchase, while xbots jump on the chance to make fun of a console they wish they could afford. Neither company will stop supporting the console (anytime soon, at least), so these numbers are pointless. Both consoles sell about the same per month (actually PS3 sells a bit more), so you can expect a steady stream of exclusives for both consoles.

They have, kind of.. Resistance 2 was announced in January '08 if I remember correctly. Regardless, it didn't sell nearly as well as Gears 2, so I don't think announcing it early helps in Sony's case.
