If you thought buying the psp was a mistake after all the amazing exclusive titles and ps1 support that thing had, then I don't think you'll find what you want. Maybe iOS, maybe 3ds would fit your tastes? What sort of stuff are you looking for? It's obviously not stuff like exclusive AAA titles such as Wipeout, god of war, Metal Gear, and vast amounts of quality RPGs and SRPGs.
PSTV is a gaming device... You realize that, right? Where else would you expect them to debut a new device for US than E3?
I think the last of us remake is more for people who missed it on ps3. In that regard, it'll be one of the better experiences you can have this fall. Incredible game that I know I'll remember for decades.

I might be wrong, but couldn't most of the kinect functionality be achieved by voice commands on a headset ?(or maybe a mic built into the controller) I don't have an XB1 but most of the people I've talked to who love kinect 2.0 do so because of the voice commands. Not much chatter about the camera features.
