You have a good point about the extra year, but for better or worse, Sony supported the PS3 a little longer. I'm talking exclusives MADE for that system, not cross gen. I give MS points for effort, but paying 3rd parties to port FH2 and Titanfall isn't quite the same thing.
My point was this:
Had Sony moved Last of Us to PS4 only and made Beyond, Puppeteer, and GT6 cross gen they'd be more evenly matched. Had The Order and Bloodb...
Did the XB1 get a price drop in EU or Asia? MS is so USA focused, it's no wonder they're getting spanked in the rest of the world. This is the one place they know how to rule.
Even though they're getting killed in sales figures, If you look around the US TV/retail landscape, you'd think XB1 is dominating here. They've always been good with TV ads, retailer partnerships, and media relations.

Sony spent 2011 & 2012 making games for the PS3... so they're a year behind MS who dropped the 360 like a rock and focused on exclusives for next gen. Ryse, DR3, and Sunset Overdrive were all 360 games at one point. Titanfall and FH2 were cross-gen. That's why MS's first year seemed more robust.

In my opinion, there hasn't been "Greatness" on either console. DR3, Sunset Overdrive, Second Son, Ryse, Titanfall: none of these can hold a candle to the best titles of last gen.
Game like Bioshock 1, Skyrim, Red Dead Redemption, Fallout 3, Last of Us, Uncharted 2 blew me away last gen... with the exception of remakes we haven't gotten anything near that caliber.

Have you ever considered this stuff isn't objectively quantifiable? Different taste for different folks.
To me, Uncharted 4 and Bloodborne obliterate anything on the XB1 2015 lineup, and that won't change... regardless of how many lists you post.

One site reviewing one game should make absolutely zero difference in how you feel about your electronics purchase.
Some of us buy devices and play games to have fun... not to compete in some huge tribal contest where 'my side' has to beat 'your side.'
This isn't a team getting knocked out of the playoffs, no matter how much our hyper-competitive demographic of 18-35 year old males try to turn it into that.
I'd suggest selling the PS4 if you don't enjoy it, it'll get you a lot further than complaining about it in comment sections. Don't worry, someone will pay good money for it and it won't stop millions of people from enjoying theirs. Everybody wins.
Also: have you tried shareplay, because it works great for me.
I'd be even less surprised if Insomniac went multi plat after this and played both sides. Being owned by MS would be aight... being an independent developer with a huge multiplat IP would be awesome.

I don't see why so much importance is placed on Oct-Dec. Kids might need games and systems from Santa, but I'm an adult and I shop year round.
Xbox has a nice, well-rounded lineup for those months, sure... but what exclusives do they have for Jan-March '15? Kinda a ghost town...
Meanwhile, PS4 is light on exclusives this fall, but winter brings two massive AAA exclusives.

Hardcoregamer is a terribly written site. I've rolled my eyes at several of their "articles" now. There are so many factors that can drop share prices. For instance, Blizzard canceling a 7-year-in-development IP probably looks worse to Biz analysts than a new IP doing $300 million in one week.

I paid over $60 for Super Mario 3 in 1990. No online, no new game+, no dlc! what a rip off! And when I played it again, the koopa troopers were in the exact same place...scripted crap! It didn't even have a horde mode!

This hobby should be about games, an ART FORM. Do you gloat when Warner Bros has better box office than Fox, do you celebrate when a Banksy print sells more than a Norman Rockwell print? Is Coldplay better than Radiohead because they have more hit records?
