Is because they have not added it yet. There are bandwidth issues. It was never in the close beta...but It will go into the open beta in time. They are just getting HOME stable...give Sony some time to get all these features we want in. They will come.
will i am not watching bluray movies or playing warhawk, R2, LBP, socom, Guitar Hero world tour, pixel junk monsters and i did have one of the release PS3s...and earlier this year...It would not play GTA4, so i called up sony, I was out of warranty at about 4 months after a year, but sony replaced it for free. I had over 1100 work units completed on this PS3.
Since then I have had no issues with the replacement 60 GB PS3. Its been folding and playing games since april 08.
If you own a HDTV...and most of them are now 1080p (its the standard and most are under $1000 for a 42 inch) you have to get a bluray player, be it a standalone or PS3.
Upscalling DVD players are not the same and true native 1080p bluray. Plus all bluray players will upscale DVDs to 1080p including the PS3 (which upscales better than most upscalling DVD\bluray players)
After seeing the Dark Night in 1080p...you will never go back to DVDs...its that good..

The price drop is comming or has come for the PS3...Dell.com was selling the PS3 for 330 to 340 for the past month...they sold a lot of PS3s...Sure the xbox 360 is cheaper but it is a cheaper console...no bluray and no wifi and no bluetooth...At $299 the PS3 will kill xbox 360 sales..

And the Xbox 360 is only 7 million ahead of the PS3 and its been out for over 3 years. Once the PS3 gets its price cut next year...it wll be all over for the Xbox 360...unless they cut to $150. The wii is still kicking the Xbox 360 butt...and it cost more than the Xbox 360...

Just to get the headset....I should have it in a few days. They updated socom...so it does not suck anymore...plus technically I got it for $10...since the headset cost $50...
R2 rules...it is so fun in co-op...lets hope they add more new modes to it in an update..
Killzone 2 will rule them all in feburary...
Nothing else will come out to challenge it....we will be in a recession for 10 years...nobody will try and come up with a challenging format...they will just update bluray to 6 layers or more for more space and use faster drives.....DD will never take over because the brick and mortar stores will want to sell games.
Bluray will be in the 720 and PS4 and in most PCs and Macs...
You can do a lot right now in HOME is you really put your mind into it...be creative...its looks like a lot of people lost that creativity...
And sony is one of the best companies at adding cool and useful stuff to there services and systems...
Look at what the PS Store was like 2 years ago....look at it now..
Look at what the PS3 firmware was like 2 years ago...look at what it can do right now.

Bluray had to be in the PS3 because that is the only way MGS4 and FF13 and LBP were ever gonna work on the PS3. They would never have worked as games on the DVD format. The DVD format is very limited for huge games. Even microsoft knows this...that is why they are pushing digital downloads.
