Go to the doctor tommorrow and get your eyes checked! You can not steam 1080p movies yet.
Netflix and xbox live will not steam 1080p movies, and neither will do the HD sound...and neither will do 7.1 lossess surrround sound....and they probably never will because the bandwith is not there.
Bluray will do all of that on a disc that can not be scratched, unlike the DVD disc that can easily be scratched.

120HZ is no the low end.
1080p is the standard from plasma to LCD to projectors..

Microsoft is scared...very scared...Bluray kicked their booty and now the best games are comming out for the PS3...if final fantasy 13 looks and runs better on the PS3...its all over for the Xbox 360....and if and when sony drops the price of the PS3 to less than $299..its all over....
Look at all the awesome tvs announced at this years CES....less than 1 inch thick plasma...240HZ LCDs with 120HZ LCDs the normal...1080p is now the standard in a HDTV....why would you not want to watch a movie in bluray if you have this kind of display tech.
There is nothing else that will show the full picture and sound on the current and upcomming tvs like bluray can.
Plus visio announced a $199 full feature bluray player with analog 7.1 bitstreaming audio out....
How hard is it to do this?

During the holiday season the samsung 40 inch 1080p tvs were around $800...and the 46 inch were around $1100.
And Xbox 360 pros were around $249...at dell.com..
