I only enjoyed Geoff's frustration at Joel. Nothing like seeing a PR shill squirm when asked to pick ONE single game he's looking forward to the most and some people still think "professional journalists" in gaming aren't sell outs, lol.
But yeah, it was pretty bad overall, but then again, so was last year, and the year before that, because this "awards show" is nothing but a marketing show.
I remember one year no one was clapping when...
How so? Because Sony sold 0.1 million more?
Both MS and Sony deserve a lot of praise, they're both selling a ton, and they're both showing up the people that said console gaming was on the decline.
Having them both be successful is a very good thing, despite what fanboys may actually want to have happen to their own personal "enemy".
So the PS4 and X1, combined, have already out sold the Wii U(The last official number I heard was 3.9 million). That's both amazing and sad at the same time.
2014 is already loaded with some big games, knock on wood that none get delayed, it's a good time to be a gamer.
You can still do it for fun. :)
@R00bot
The problem with Bayonetta is that it was never an exclusive to anyone before, it was multi-platform, bi-platform?, and the sequel all of a sudden is an exclusive to a platform it was never on before.
So it's very understandable that a large percentage of the series' fans don't want to get a platform they have no interest in, outside that one single game.
It might have more to do with people not wanting to get a console that's not going to be supported.
Honestly, the Wii U is a nice system, but there is no third party support or when there is a third party game, it's gimped in some way and if both the PS4 and X1 keep selling like they are, third parties won't even glance at the Wii U.
Better get ready to ditch more than just Microsoft.
Never touch anything related to Google.
Physically disable any microphone and camera that may be in/connected to your laptop or pc.
Use throw away cell phones.
Make sure you've never once said anything negative about the US government, because the NSA is doing much, much more than what is being reported about right now; if a company isn't willingly working with them, they are going behind those com...
It wasn't a total failure, Joel made Geoff his bitch at the end of the show, that was kinda worth it.
For those who may have poked their eyes out before the end, here you go.

The lack of any real surprises is a bit disheartening.
Is E3 really the only next big thing for announcements?
Anyone that gets under Geoff's skin is alright in my book, but the show pretty much sucked... and THEN that stupid GTA5 "concert" happened.
Anything that involves the Dorito Pope/Gametrailers seems to be pretty lackluster.
I like Rooster Teeth/Achievement Hunter but are let's plays really news worthy?
It matters in the long run.
The differences may not be anything big right now, but by the end of this generation the gap between the PS4 and X1 is likely to be huge.
Unless, of course, Microsoft pulls this again;
"Titles for Xbox 360 must ship at least simultaneously with other video game platform, and must have at least feature and content parity on-disc with the other video game platform versions in all regions where the title is available,&qu...
I'm sure a PS4 version will get released at some point, maybe a year or two after P5 gets released in North America/Europe.
...I'm still going to get a PS3 for this game though, I can not wait.
Usually anything Keighley is involved with ends up in disappointment, but seeing how there's the possibility for a few true next gen games to be premiered, it might be worth tuning in.
Honestly though, the awards are a joke, it might as well be renamed to Video Game Premieres and Marketing or VGMA(Video Game Marketing Awards).
ZeniMax is extremely protective of their IPs and would have crushed this website by now if it was fake.
And in other news the sky is blue.
Because it's America, silly.
^This.
Let Atlus be Atlus.
They have games far more interesting than anything Sega's done, save for maybe Shenmue and that's not the kind of game Atlus should make.
@Taislin
Well, compared to the PS2 the PS3 is next gen.
So really Persona 5 will be next gen compared to the other games in the series.
I think, I'm no expert on any of this, it means that people can't make money off of "let's play" videos or just about anything related to showing video game footage anymore. I'm sure I'm wrong though.
