"Gameplay Trumps Everything" you say. Oh, silly Ubisoft - but you haven't made one original game in the past 7 years or so. Most of your library is made of cliche first-person shooters and Prince of Persia-esque assassination simulators.
It's got to be old as hell. It's not even running on Frostbite, it was developed on last gen consoles, and it's still called "Battlefront III".

I noticed something worrying in the industry: if a game scores high - then that's okay (unless it's Call of Duty, of course - we hate Call of Duty!). If a game scores low - that's unfair!

And suddenly, that 8.7 given for The Evil Within by IGN is absolutely fair, but that 5.9 for Alien: Isolation? Nope, that's blasphemy! They can't have their own opinions!

Meaning, it's going to have a bullsh*t story accompanied with bad acting and minimal-to-none gameplay?

And by the way, this movie was horrible.
It supposedly plays like RE4, but with more survival aspects to that. Makes me utterly excited.
Don't get your hopes too high for that. It might be a good, even a very good game, but I doubt it's going to be scary even once.

It kinda worries me that people are more interested in frame rate and resolution than the game itself - and hey, folks, did you notice that the mechanics of the Assassin's Creed haven't freaking changed since 2007?
