Maybe I am being too nice to companies, but when I join something like the ESA I would assume they were working in our best interest. Do you really believe they join a grouping for these issues AND still read what they're about in every situation?
I believe people are backing out because people are making it clear how they feel. While not every company is taking the "noble" route, though some I am sure were simply informed of it by this media.
Let's be fair... there are plenty of games that are hardcore, but no one plays those games and thus they get thrown out. Most people sing the praises of Demon Souls/Dark Souls because its popular over it being the only truely hardcore game console wise.
A prime example would be Spelunker. Just about everything kills you... dropping from 10 feet, running out of energy, getting attacked by a ghost, one of the thousands of traps, too many people on a rope/boat/cart, etc. Th...
I never got the price argument... there are plenty of amazing cheap games. Case in point Spelunker HD.
For $10 you can buy Spelunker HD which features...
100 offline stages
100 online stages
6x person online co op
4x person offline splitscreen
platinum trophy
a few home items
an additional race mode
additional cycles where the game is harder like the key's you need are hidden.

Shame. I got Aspergers too and I just manage to make 90% of the people around me hate me lol. I suppose that is super in it of its self.
The irony in this all is that different people wrote those posts. I still don't see how were judging writer A's opinion + writer B's opinions = writer C at fault?
Hm site glitched and double posted.
In what reality is Capcom worse... AT LEAST Capcom released a decent port of Street Fighter IV for the 3DS and AT LEAST Capcom does costumers where as Blazblue charges for announcers/pallet swaps.
While its always good to flip an argument... there is no reason to here. The only thing companies need to do is stop assuming every "pirate" is an instant lost sale. It get's rather annoying when someone claims "my game was downloaded X times and I lost out on X sales... **** pirates!".
Going off what you said most kids lack the funds to really help the industry, but there are plenty of "cheap enough" solutions. If parents taught them to be ...
@ the hands on people
Something to consider is that how would you feel about a writer who did a poor hands on of a beta product? Laying the hammer on a draft makes you look really bad. Most people would complain left/right that all of these issues could be fixed.
Like if I said it felt repetitive... many would wonder if I thought it MIGHT change from what the demo showcased.
If I said the story sucked... there were plenty of games that pulled out a w...
Usually they price it cheaply and people write off many short comings. Like this is "10" so people usually go "its good for 10 dollars" and thus the scores are usually higher... this is despite some games being amazingly high quality for 10 usd. A prime example would be Minna de Spelunker/Spelunker HD which is 10, but is easily on par with a retail title.
The article stated that it was most likely based off the US/EU releases and the MSRP is 325 in Japan. If you did more than read the sentence listed here you wouldn't look a fool.

I always thought small devs had worst things going for them. Most times people don't hear a lot of press about them or were turned off by something. THAT DOESNT MEAN they don't want to play it, but how many times have we seen games drop super low?
In the past year I've seen Mindjack drop to 10 usd (new) within a year. Q Theory drop to 5 within 1 year 2 months. Vanquish was 30 around 2 months later. El Shaddai is already 20 at gamestop. ...
Another poor review of Amy... looks like 4 is going to be the average and it's going to be the current worst game of the year.
See this is what I love about N4G...
Do I expect Uncharted level graphics out of a 10 dollar digital title? No
Do I expect decent graphics out of a game "To those of you who believe this was an attempt to make a few more bucks, we need to precise that we initially wanted to sell AMY at 1200 points, but this would have meant a high price for European players. In addition, we believe AMY is a full game that could have been sold at a regular price at retail but we ...
The models look awful ><
Torne had trophies, so anything is possible.
I fully agree from what played.
I've seen many suggest a lower difficulty. Not exactly Easy, but something lower.
The 2D fighters are far more enjoyable than the 3D ones...
Vanquish isn't cheap... it's just about knowing what to do. (and yes I've platinumed it)
