Achievement / Trophy hunting is a double edge sword, but neither side really justifies a stance in either direction. On one hand you have a way to get you to play / do more and it gets people to unlock things they might not have otherwise. A prime example of this is Catherine, since Axis Mundi added a new cutscene at the start and special ending for beating the thing. Another would be Borderlands 1/2, since they basically just ask you to try everything out and explore the world. These are thi...
Some only unlock under certain conditions, which is what the post is about.

The fame is a LOT faster if you have a good partner or know what you're doing. Me and my friend decided to do a co op of it and have done the following things...
Nearly 10,000 badass rank
Can defeat Terra without dying and in minutes (the only one I timed was 1 minute 30 seconds)
All missions complete on True Vault Hunter
9 Legendary level 50 items (only counting the mod once)
Over 60% off the skins
All Area's explored
All...
Eh I guess. Me and my friend already beat every mission on true vault hunter and got Terra down to a 1 minute 30 second fight. When you factor in his down time and such, it's actually a MUCH shorter fight.
Yes, but being "late" doesn't mean the information is irrelevant. We have at least 1 N4G user saying the PS3 codes still work, so yeah. Also don't forget how long it takes some things to get approved. Back when the Kirby medal came out, it took a day (well after it being dead) to even get approved.
Not like the chest gives anything good... then again, it's hard to find things better than the Hellfire, The Bee, Terra class mod and more.
Normally I would be pissed, but the items you gain from the chest suck. I am level 50 and never found / seen something that was worlds better. Truth be told, the chest feels like one of those "instant" power things, which fits in with the social networking demographic.
No, they would have to obtain a license for the characters. However, these things aren't as simple as people make them out to be. To get someone like Crash in the game, they would need to roughly do the following.
- Decide they want him.
- Figure out a course of action / proposal.
- Contact whomever has the rights and set up a meeting.
- Present your idea and lay out your plan. These would be things like, who you want, why you should, what you get...
you use a credit card giftcard. Most places sell like a Visa card, which can be used on the PSN as a credit card and works like one too. Very round about way of doing it, but if you're going a longer period of plus or really want to save a few bucks on a game, then it's a suitable solution.
They sell codes, but I do believe you need a credit card listed at the time of the transaction. (even with a code)
Seems like these will be easy to get.
sounds like I am going to get a friend to open it first =D
This is all perception really and a poor one at best... While you're listing higher quality games, they're actually too high quality. The problem being, how many people who got Borderlands from Plus, lacked it? The same can be said of Dead Space 2, Red Dead, and Deus EX since the game is pretty cheap now (augmented edition is 15 at best buy). At least in the case of PSN titles, they rarely go on sale and many people won't ever buy them. Like it took me 3 weeks to get Darksiders ...

Please... get off your high horse. Since when does an easier path cheapen the actual experience? Maybe if it was a glitch, but the game doesn't magically become meaningless because there is an easy mode.
As far as the "unworthy" gamers, maybe you should pay attention to the games difficulty. Demon / Dark Souls isn't hard because you're expected to do unrealistic tasks, fight vastly over powered enemies or anything of the sor...
You do realize that people complained ABOUT it getting an easy mode, not that people wanted an easy mode. Very different things... though there were several people who complained about Demon Souls being too hard. Most people shut up when it became a "status symbol" of being hardcore or skilled.
I've always seen the fuss to be about bragability. Take Demon Souls, nearly 40% of the people who played it, beat it (going off PSNProfiles). Yet this series seems to be the end all beat all standard to which every hard game is graded off of now. I don't think an easy mode would ruin the game, as the CORE experience is learning from your errors. Even if you weaken enemies power by 50%, the main difficulty comes from now knowing where you're going to get attacked. Ultimately it wo...
I certainly agree it sounds like a good idea on paper, but I don't see it going anywhere. For fun I signed up just to see how high I would start and didn't even make it half way. This is with one of my PSN having 300+ games, 6,500+ trophies, and a successful youtube channel. Ultimately I see them trying to make their site a standard, which won't happen.
Play it on god hard and tell me Demon Souls is harder. Seriously, Vanquish is a hard game. The PS3Trophies.org trophy guide lists it at 9.5 and has a 8.5 overall rating on ps3trophies.org. (with most people listing it as 10/10...) This is completely due to how frightening Tactical Challenge 6 is (which is EASIER than god hand...). So yeah, easy and hand holding indeed.
Also just to note, I platinumed Bayonetta, Vanquish and Anarchy Reigns.
I think just adding some of the missing arcs would really help. At the very least, they would make the game look a lot more interesting.
