@steadyhndz, no matter what you say they will defend their article. self-serving bias.
why do these build your own pc articles always have to say "that plays it all!!!" when they don't. they might play it all, but not at very high quality. my laptop can "play" it all, but its not something i want to do.
the Wii-U will be a great addition to the console group. Any new angle at game development and control style can only benefit the gaming community. Zelda with Uncharted like graphics? Metroid Prime with dual analog control, Mario with all of the awesome effects available through a more powerful system?
Mario Galaxy looked amazing on the Wii, imagine mario on Wii-U. Anything that profits the gaming community should be looked at as a welcomed device.
LMAO. I remember getting flamed and trolled for saying before skyrim came out that it was gonna be a BUGGY MESS. "buh buh creation kit has new computerized bug deleter! its betttesduh!"
and now same people are complaining about their game that becomes unplayable after putting 60 hours into it.
btw, played and enjoyed it on pc, so no nothing against skyrim.

no the pacing and combat is not different in the least. throughout the beta i leveled a tank, dps, and heal character, tried all three in flashpoint settings. i've played my fair share of MMO's, not just WOW, and this is pretty much the same, with a star wars setting and voice acting. people don't realize that the game settles into a grinding routine after the initial "origin" story.
from my few days playing the beta, its a different crowd on there. most people have never played an MMO, completely new to the experience. occasionally you get a wow vet on there that either bashes wow, or says they are not cancelling their wow sub. but the majority of the players were new to the genre.

it'll get game of the year. does it deserve it? no it doesn't IMO. portal 2, dark souls, skyward sword, arkham city, those games were better made and more fun and did more for the genre.
pull out bound bow for unlimited arrows and high damage, hide behind rock, kill it. one of the biggest upsets in this game. no dragon encounter is unique, even the last boss was completely easy and fail. to add to the damage just summon your atronach.
or circle strafe while healing and hack n' slashing it. they are the easiest opponents in the whole game ironically.
i use to crave open world games. nowadays they appear to me as huge games filled with tons of boring things to do. Dark Souls did open world in a wonderful new direction. its open yet directed and every inch of it is designed with the player's experience in mind.
Battling into the depths of the demon ruins, or the seemingly never ending path leading to the tomb of the giants....
or persuading 3 people to do something i don't care about for the thiev...

i played and beat both. i prefer dark souls but enjoyed skyrim as well.
and how overly expensive it will be. if you dont want another "600 us dollars" moment, hope that they dont go overboard.
as usual, console crowd doesnt understand that 1gb of ram on a console is awesome. 4 gb is needed on pc due to the operating system and all of the other tasks. 1gb dedicated console ram will be much better than what 360 and ps3 offer. you have to think that 360 has 512 and ps3 is essentially using 256 and can produce uncharted 3.
i like the new contrast but i prefer the umodded version of some of the sky shots. way too much purple.
looks badass. lead designer from morrowind and oblivion on this. no wonder this looks awesome and skyrim was sort of boring.
the people on this game have no clue how an MMO works. they claim theres no grinding or important end game. if thats the case count on the game dying soon. the whole crowd didnt know anything about class composition, buffs, anything of the sort. everyone is expecting this to be similar to a single player RPG and are gonna get a huge grinding MMO slap in the face.
