lulz. it is ironic i posted that. However and i'm sure you know i'm talking about everything after cod4, i guess i shouldve said "should no longer" be in the same sentence
COD and INNOVATION should never be in the same sentence. unless the words "lack of" are also included.
COD4 was extremely innovative. However the 4 games following it are not. Not even progressive in the least.
quests in RPG's are getting really boring lately. Not much innovation besides go to point x and retrieve y. Talk to X,Y,Z. Find object X. Kill 12X.
I think it has to do with the idea of a quest objective. Questing in RPG's need to find a more seamless way of having us achieve goals.
Dark Souls shouldve easily been GOTY. Does open world in a new way, amazing combat, great RPG system, great visuals, intricately detailed world and atmosphere.
Portal 2 and Witcher 2 come close, but the fact that Dark Souls isn't even nominated is a slap in the face to gamers. I enjoyed Skyrim, but it was buggy and not very innovative.
Thats the problem with Uncharted 3, innovation was out the window.
and they took another step backwards by not having Dark Souls in the list instead of Uncharted 3, or Skyrim for that matter.
@slayor
fixed things for PC, keyword, PC. The platform that didn't have that many problems. You can't compare the pc version with the ps3 version
i understand where you are coming from. but if the end product is fun to play, why not. It looks fun to me. Hell any fun shooter that's not military cod/bf3 seems fun to me right now.
trust a dev over a marketing guy. you guys are so quick to believe what you hear its ridiculous. "oh my savior bethesda was innocent all along!"
which sounds like a winning combo to me
the VGA's have to be the most corrupt reward show in the industry. I will watch just for game announcements, but i hold no credibility in their choices for winners.
i'd pay 450 dollars if it did turn out to be that. no more though, that's bordering on the limit. considering in my state that would be around 477 dollars with tax, plus a game to play, would put you well over 500 dollars.
Love Steam
why do they gotta "keep the cable industry afloat." let it die if it means progress. quit trying to hold back progression so you can stay rich. If you wanna keep making money, alter your business and adapt or go away.
Zelda > Skyrim.
i agree only because this subject is getting old. If you want to be treated like a gamer, act like one. Most gamers don't sit around wondering if "am i being left behind."
play games, love them, shut up. Feminism is getting old.
it was ok. i love star wars so i'm forced to get it, but other than that it's a pretty decent game nothing to shit yourself over.
enough of the skyrim articles on here plz. this is worse than the GTA4 mod spree.
lame. Darkness had really fun multiplayer despite network instability and lag issues.
Someone needs to develop a good competitive, balanced multiplayer game that is not a military shooter, is not ruined by perks, and takes longer than a quick shot to kill people unless its a head shot. Slightly larger health bars allow for recovery and tense battles, other than just aim shoot run, aim shoot run.
wtf. every VGA rumored announcement such as half-life 3, or epics new IP, it has to be converted into a possible ps3 exclusive on this site? why is every new game coming out supposedly going to be exclusive to you guys? Fanboyism has corrupted your brains to the point of no return.
Valve - primarily PC developer, who created STEAM, a PC distribution platform. No way in hell is it going to be PS3 exclusive
EPIC - with gears of war being 360 exclusive, UT3 being mu...
there hasnt been one fun multiplayer in years when it comes to shooters. Portal 2's co-op is awesome, Dark/Demon's Souls co-op is awesome. Raiding on an MMO feels awesome. Last shooters i enjoyed online were halo 2 and gears of war 1
