This review is for the pc version.. I wonder when reviews will come out for the 360 version.. not that it really matters to me, i already bought the game and have been really enjoying it. Just that a few of the problems he mentioned do not apply to the 360 version.

I've played through it about 3 times now not counting the amount of time i've spent playing with friends. And I plan to play through it again. You keep getting new items, even on your 4th play through.. which we're talking like 30+ hours of gameplay, you'll be picking up epic equipment that have really neat effects.
looks like a very generic 1st person shooter.. very limited innovation.. incredibly boring.. you guys should try too human.. i know its hard to learn something new and different but its much more enjoyable then playing the same game year after year. really what does it do different? add a couple different weapons.. 60 person versus mode.. like frontlines.. have fun in the lagfest.. i hate to say it but this game smells like a flop to me.. does not matter how nice the graphics are.

eq1 was pretty innovative at the time.. but sony hasn't changed at all from its formula, all proceeding soe mmorpg titles are the same horribly dull grindfests.. whether it be EQ, starwars galaxies, vanguard or any of the rest sony lays claim to. graphically though eq2 doesn't really compete with swg, or vangaurd, which do not compete with any other recent mmorpg that have come out..
If you need an mmorpg fix right now, i'd suggest DDO(which is cheap),guildwars(which is free), ...

I know thats what he said, but he is wrong. The option is there, as per my previous comment.. it always has been there the last option on that drop down list you mentioned is "custom" and when you select it, you can choose where your workers work moving them between resource points the exact same way you would on a pc in any previous version.. i can't believe i have more disagrees then agrees on this, am i the only person that has noticed??
I agree with the reasoning behind your comments. I also was not very impressed with the demo at first, I expected the graphics to look better, and right off the bat i was pretty diswayed by this game.. namely the walking animation looks really last gen to me.. why are his arms sticking way out?? It looks like he is puffing out his chest.
Anyway, I am surprised you didn't enjoy it after playing the other classes. Thats when it hooked me.. at first i found the combat very slow...

You can custom manage your population, and it does offer additional features. The only thing I could see that it does not offer is the ability to build workers, instead you just pay for what they would normally build like a road or what have you, but trading, focusing output, changing from science to gold production.. its all there.. all in all the game is a pretty decent console port. The reviewer obviously didn't spend enough time looking at the various options.. because practically ever...
Oh my god, I cannot believe some of you pc gamers are soo arrogant. You just want to completely deny the fact that the game has been played on the 360 controller.. what do you think they just put the code in just to demo it fighting some ai, and for the last 3 years they just left it out completely.
