Xbox and Playstation are a gaming hub - ecosystem that is accompanied by hardware AND NOT hardware manufacturers - they just provide the hardware as a functional part of the ecosystem. They are software developers and retailers. And as such, they make marginal or no profits from the hardware sales.
So why in the world would Sony want Microsoft to publish the competing platform in their service?
