It's not like this is the first Metal Gear game to have lengthy cutscenes. I don't know about you, but I like to know what is going on, story wise, in the games I play. Call me old fashioned. If Kojima has crafted a more sophisticated game and story than you would like, go play Splinter Cell:I wish I were MGS or Halo.
They also updated the date on the firmware release RUMOR. Don't blindly hate.
The PS3's memory footprint was reduced from 64MB to 52MB with the release of SDK 1.6. The PS3's OS cost is 84MB compared to the 360's OS of 32MB. Seeing how we're at 2.35 right now, I'm pretty sure more reductions have taken place with the SDK.

Forza hasn't proved anything. Grand Turismo, as a franchise, is what Forza strives be. Competition is good. But don't rule out the franchise that introduced us console players to racing greatness. As for the multiple discs...next gen console don't need multiple discs. DVD players do.

I completely agree. However, it is kinda fun getting a rise outta people. I know, I'm a bastard, but it's true. If most of us, myself included, spoke how they really felt about any of the consoles, all this fanboy BS would die. Oh well. Their last price price cut totaled $100 across 3 SKUs. While I expected the same this time around, $30 wouldn't shock me. They don't want to drop the price, just like they didn't want the 360 to be called the Xbox 2 because of the suggested inferiority (Xbox 2 vs. PS3). They are an HD console and their HD competition is $50 more expensive with more features out of the box. Why sell a $200 DVD player/console when people will pay $300 or $350 for it?
