They are both great games, but their greatness lies with their differences. Probably a poor choice of words on Cliff's side, but it's his opinion and he's entitled to it.
Patience. It's an outstanding game and the trophies add more to the gaming experience than I expected. I give Microsoft props. They were right (and oddly enough) brilliant for implementing achievements. Happy gaming boys!
Good. They shouldn't waste troubleshooting time responding to the million "When's 2.4 gonna be re-released?" questions. Let them do their job, it'll be here soon enough.
But look at the total sales numbers of the consoles. PS2- over 100mil, GC- 23mil, Xbox- 24mil. There's more to those sales numbers than price and price alone. I heard the price elasticity argument in HD DVD vs. Blu ray debates and we know how that turned out.
I think the price drop is long over due. IMO, there is simply more value out of the box with the PS3 than the 360. Couple that with what the added value is (blu-ray, wifi, free online) and in most people's minds, it may be worth $100. I think we'll see pretty much the same sales pace. Initially there will be a spike, but overall, the system will sell at or slightly above its current sales. While its software lineup for 08 is ok, it's not necessarily the type of lineup that will grab new buyer...
Sooooooooooo glad it isn't even remotely similar to the "Achievement Unlocked" sound. My buddy has it as his message notifier on his cell and it drives me insane.
I find it odd that so many PS3s (of various configurations) are running 2.4 with zero issues. I feel this entire thing has been blown out of proportion and Sony is doing the only thing they can do. Should they not take precautions? And what happens if/when 2.4 goes live again and it's still 2.4 and not 2.41? Wanting something to fail doesn't mean it will or has.
Calling people "cheapskates" who purchased the Core/Arcade, a product created for and marketed to entry level gamers is ignorant Crab. It was Microsoft's decision and it turns out, it wasn't the best thing to do. Life goes on.
What does it even matter, really? It's selling. It's selling better than anything on the 360. But even then the question still remains, what does it even matter? We continue to allow ourselves to be bombarded with all this negative "news". And it's always the same consoles involved. 360 sucks! 360 rules! PS3 sucks! PS3 rules! And on and on. Listen, I've played my part and contributed my fair share, but it's only video games. It's laughable how worked up people allow themselves to ge...

Actually, the PS3 is the lead platform. Now if I could only find a link...

Fish, let it go. Soooo, what do you think about the new camo?
As much as I love God of War, LBP is high on my list. Can't wait!

Wrong dude. There is a sound. Although I did have to lower the game's SFX and music.

I'm shocked that the listed features actually make sense. It's apparent Sony is listening and I'm willing to be patient.
That may swing my purchase to Guitar Hero. Unless the tracklist just blows.
Is a guide really necessary?
