MGS4 and MotorStorm 2 are EXACTLY the right games to compare review scores over. Everyone knows combat racing games CAN'T score an A-, that's reserved for action games. Or is it RPGs? Or sports games? Or puzzle games? The logic that 2 games from 2 separate genres can't receive the same score is, for lack of a better word, retarded. When I first purchased Socom, I (as many others) was unable to get into a game, my profile was corrupted and all in all, it was a sh1tty experience. That said, the game is quite fun now that the server patch was applied. Say what you will, but the game is enjoyable and solid.

It's about being respectful. A while back, a Danish newspaper published a comic depicting the prophet Muhammad and ALL HELL BROKE LOOSE. There is no reason why, when you are aware of that kind of sensitivity, you would keep something in the game that could provoke a similar response. Violent games has nothing to do with it and is rather short-sighted of the writer.
I think the 360 outselling the PS3 by 100k after a price drop should concern Microsoft. I'm not saying their sales numbers aren't good, quite the opposite. But the PS3 is $200 more expensive than their cheapest SKU and sold over 200k units. People are buying both consoles, but as more 1st party exclusives start to appear (most of which to appear in 09) it's gonna take more than Halo 3: Recon, Halo Wars, Alan Wake, Mass Effect 2?, 99 Nights 2 and...and...what else? DLC? I'm not sure that is go...
Totally off topic, but I agree with your comments on Dead Space. I went in expecting "meh" and came away "whoa". On Chapter 6 right now and have truly loved playing it. Regardless of platform, Dead Space is something everyone should check out.

Regardless, I think Socom has delivered from a gameplay perspective. It's fun as hell. The bugs and server side issues we've been experiencing will be resolved. They always are.
