NEXT-GEN is all about HIGH DEFINITION. There have been fun video games out there since the first console. People buy next gen consoles for the better graphics. I mean, if this game is released for both the PS2 and the PS3. Then there is no reason to get the PS3 version over the PS2 version because they would be the same. The same thing applies for the xbox.
This is a Newsweek blog. It seems journalists at Newsweek are allowed to create blogs and write whatever w/out having to pass edition from "above". Therefore, this is the writers personal belief. He is not mentioning facts really, as he is not brining any support of proof(i.e no names mentioned.)
It seems this Newsweek writer happened to be a die hard xbox fan and decided to write down his thoughts (that are clearly not credible) on his blog. Big deal, why should I care.
I think the article talks about small and individual developers that develop those ugly games on XBLA or something..

That is a lie. They claimed they cracked it way before the format war was over, however, it was proven that their hack was not working by then. "Secret"! try again. Now they are claiming they did it, but for real.. I don't know about that. Anyways I am for this kind of software, but hate BS lies.
Wow, everyone is over hyping GA IV. I hope rockstar are working on improving it a little at this moment just to make it above the piece of sh!t line and not get us all very disappointed but only disappointed.
I don't understand why ppl in 2008 call a 4 year old game, game of the year!!! The game is good, but c'mon get over it. There are many games that are better then HL2.
You can't just through random and ugly games in there and call them hits. I mean, we all saw how Too human look like and play and its complete rubbish. The only game that is worth being on the list for 360 is Gears of war 2. But that might be on PC as well.
Face it, PS3 has came back in its staying. It will have better lineups for 08 and above, just like the old times with the PS2.
For me God of war 3 was good enough to go for PS3.

People are willing to pay a little extra for quality. Europeans are well aware of that. Thats why the PS3 will keep outselling the 360 in Europe.
I think improving the Single Player mode is as important.
This game will highly likely end up on PS3. Its not up to the devs u know. The devs job is to make the game. The publishers make the decision whether to make it exclusive or not and that has a lot to do with getting paid from console manufacturers. If the devs don't feel comfortable developing for a certain console because they lack the knowledge, the publisher will find other Devs, its as simple as that.

360 don't do 1080p. It only upscales to 1080p. But the difference between 1080p and 720p is not noticeable on below 40" HDTV s.
Its not like Dl is a 360 exclusive.. Its been there for a while now, so if that is true, its great news for all of us, as the PS3 will have the same thing. Ps3 owners will have the option to download or to buy/rent a superior HD Blue ray disc.
But, I really doubt the true HD streaming thing over the internet will work in the US before they upgrade the infrastructure of the optical networks which is estimated to cost around 50 Billion dollars (according to Ars Technica).
