There are so many speculated release dates regarding Gran Turismo 5 that there's no point discussing the matter until we hear it from the horses mouth. Only Sony knows when the game is coming out and until they make an official statement all we can do is sit, wait and twiddle our thumbs.
seeing as how the gameplay is as standard as you want, I'd hardly call it a "great video game." The only reason the game is as revered as it is is because of the absolutely bonkers plot. There's nothing else like it.
It really divebombed in the last three hours or so. The plot became less a murder mystery and more...I can't even explain it. Think Quantic Dream's Fahrenheit in its second half. More focus on the paranormal, sharp turns into plot strands that were really not called for... everything just became too convoluted. A shame really, 'cos I was genuinely enjoying it before that. But much like Bioshock, way to massively ruin the momentum of an otherwise intriguing game.
but it's common knowledge that the PS3 is well on the rise now and if GT5 manages to get released this year then it's a sure thing.

I watched a vid of it being played on youtube once and it scared the crap outta me. It involved the slutty sister visiting Grandma's house after straying from the path and damn... it was intense.
It's pretty good so far. It has it's own unique kind of charm, in that everything's a bit awry and rough around the edges. The cars handle like absolute crap though, which wouldn't be so bad if you didn't have to drive across such long distances all the time. And don't even get me started on the map. Was it so hard to add a waypoint system?!
and that's all I'll say.
It would be awesome to see him make another appearance, especially in Silent Hill 8. Imagine running into him in that game, FUHHHHHCK! That would be a blast from the past. Voice-acted by the same guy?! *faints*
A lot more people are wary and downright sickened of Activision now than when MW2 was released, which I think will be reflected in sales. Not majorly, but in a noticeable way.
