Hmmmmm.
I played the first one, loved it up until there the twist, then it bombed for me. Had absolutely no interest in the second game, never played it. Didn't have any interest in a potential third game either, but I just watched the trailer for this new one. What can I say, it's now on my radar. The new setting is already a great start, but I hope they mix things up a bit more.

The developers could really shake things up with the narrative here by giving this new playable character, y'know, an actually personality, and allow him to interact with other people in this new society. it deserves more attention. I always liked exploring the depiction of purgatory in video games. Especially in Silent Hill 2, where the place essentially acts as a form of purgatory towards James Sunderland and has Christian references scattered here and there. Far more compelling than cults and evil Demi-Gods.
They are inherent spoilers all over the place there.
Because if it does then I do despair. Silent Hill 2 is the best in the series. They'll ruin it.

I saw the front cover for Still Life 2 on wikipedia the other day and surely that's a worthy candidate for this website's consideration. I'd describe it, but...well I don't wanna. I'd rather forget.
but I'd be more than willing to buy it again from PSN, for the HD makeover and trophies. For a Sonic platformer, it was a surprisingly atmospheric game. The amazon and snow-capped levels in particular, bolstered by the wonderful soundtrack, made me forget I was playing a giant blue hedgehog sometimes.
Incidentally, does anyone know if there will be a platinum trophy supplied with this game?

especially so soon after the under-performing second installment. The change in scenery is very welcomed, and if the developers have even two brain cells to rub together they'll know not to include any multiplayer campaign this time. But something strikes me as fishy in relation to how hasty they're churning this one out. There's some sort of agenda at play here.
