I would like to say that I had read the article which was supposedly the satirical one (After reading it, I didn't think it was), and just now I read the 4/4 review. Don't hate on me, I have played the first 3 Uncharted games to some extent and I pretty much agree with Michael. The games might (not my personal opinion) be story wise good, and the characterization may have been pretty but I didn't find a game in there, rather more of a cinematic experience (And being a gamer who ha...
Except Sony fans everyone is, because unlike them we don't care if the rating goes down for a game, all we care about is that we enjoyed the game, and not what some site has given it a rating for. The article about why Sony fans are such a pain is actually very accurate. Only 20-25% of the Sony crowd is actually sensible. No one cried out when someone gave Witcher 3 a negative trolling review that didn't even matter. No one gave a shit about some of the negative GTA V reviews, neither...
Yeah right, increasing the rating of Uncharted 4 is the most important reason for starting a petition, ahead of all the problems in the world, which include Global Warming, Epidemics, Starvation, Development of under developed countries and thousands of other problems.
Pretty much the scene it is, next thing we know, they'll all become a whole terrorist force with the agenda of bringing Uncharted to it's rightful glory. And the next petition signing will be under the name, 'Uncharted 4 has to get a 99 rating on metascore and 9.9 on user score'. Obama will send a seal fans to subdue these guys and the news headline on Washington Post will be "Uncharted 4 Fans Subdued bu Navy Seals"
Hehe, these fanboys are pretty fun to play with. Just wriggle a feather and they will dance to your command like a monkey to their master. Amazing creatures, these fanboys.
It is definitely not a bad thing and I'm not on the side of the review. My post focuses on how the fans have reacted to this. That's insanely blaphemous.
Uncharted is a game that definitely doesn't require skill and neither does it have a steep learning curve and since the guy has reviewed Dark Souls 3 and Witcher 3, I am gonna assume that he is a skilled gamer. I can't say whether he likes the genre or not, because it seems this is the first review of a 'so called action adventure platformer' he has done. And I guess by gross generalizations you mean, points out the mistakes in the game. I can't see any personal dislike fo...
And PC gamers can care less for these games. I bet CSGO alone makes as much as all three games in a year, even though a new CS releases every 7-9 years and a COD comes out pretty much every year. And again the games that you mentioned, all EA. Very few people in the gaming community give a shit about that. You will find people dedicated to RPGs, Competititve and other hardcore games in the PC community, not some casual shooter like Battlefront or Titanfall.
I didn't mean literally of course lol. But it's like the situation of QB all over again. It's just that Sony is more dedicated to their fans and their fans reciprocate that feeling. Had this game released under another banner, I doubt it would have gotten such acclaims.
It's true that I haven't played U4, but I have played till U3 and I can say for sure that the game is pretty easy, because I had never played a shooting game with a controller and somehow...
A PC is pretty much a one time investment. And games are cheaper, controllers are cheaper and the rest of the maintenance is cheaper. In a PS4 you get useless blu-ray players that no-body asked for and many other features, which again no one asked for. Consoles are trying to become like PCs and you can clearly see it with them putting Netflix and other stuff into consoles, again nobody asked for them. Also a regular upgrade cycle another aspect of PCs. In fact a decent PC doesn't even get...
The Call of Duty and Ubisoft LDCs arrive on consoles first and both of those companies are actually shit, so yeah counting those, console users are pretty lucky I agree. Oh and BTW Steam has more than 711 million users out of which 200mn users are active and this does not even include the people from other gaming platforms on the PC (LOL and Hearthstone, Hi-Rez etc)
Hmm... If by AAA you mean only Ass*kissmy*assin's Creed or other Ubisoft, EA or Call of Duty, sorry. Look at Star Citizen if you want to see something out of the world. You'll think that Uncharted is a bundle of Pixels. And Uncharted is meh...... It's more of a movie than a game. SO meh. Other than maybe Nier Automata and NiOh, I would pas on all PS4 games.
Doesn't mean you have to write wrong opinions about games. He felt what was right and wrote the damn review.
I'm copy pasting what I've already written, because it's no point trying to guide fools who follow sheep:
So basically what I understood from the article and the comments is that the reviewer is good, he may be right or wrong about the judgement he has passed that the game gets a 6, and has even stated why he has done so, but the people are so much aga...
Your biggest problem is in the first statement by saying that 'He is clearly not a fan of the series" and that is exactly how a reviewr should approach a game, don't you think. I don't understand, do you even think before writing, or are you guys paid money by Sony to speak for the game. Quit the nagging.
