LucasArts did make some classic games, shame this isn't as good as ones like Day of The Tentacle, that's gotta be one of the best games of all time.
My favourite of the series is definitely Silent Hill 2, but this game had some really awesome parts, especially the Pyramid related ending. Unfortunately I got the dullest ending when I played through it, but youtube saved the day.
Using more memory is not the only answer. If you truly believe it is, look at independant games, these are much smaller than conventional games yet the ideas, mechanics and gameplay behind them is so radically innovative.
The idea that "just pile more data on a disc, it makes a better game" is a philosophy that maybe EA find logical, but is so flawed it makes me cry a little.
Also only played the demo, only heard bad comments and wasn't exactly awed by the demo so it'll be something I play eventually.
I almost completely disagree with this.
Making sandboxes bigger leads to one of the problems I had with GTA IV, it was so vast that is was filled with blank buildings that served no purpose except to pad out the world. When you are dying and need to eat food, running past 3 delis, 4 restaraunts and 2 take outs but not being able to stop at any of them because they are not the approved buildings to eat in the world is kinda silly.
That was awesome, anyone with a deep and compassionate love of zombies would agree.
I have faith in OnLive! It'll succeed, you'll see, you'll all see!
Never got round to getting this on Xbox, generally prefer online purchases on a PC so might finally get it.
Pretty much agree with the "generic but fun" comment.
Well....
Except for the fun part.
Earthworm Jim, Hooray for him!
There's a difference between hype and lies though. If a game is billed to be something it's not, like happened with Fable or parts of Bioshock, or like happens with movies when they hyped the Star Wars prequels to actually be enjoyable movies.
That is so unbelievably awesome, I mean, just plain wow.
Never really got into the game, but the expansions are looking pretty nifty, I gotta say.
Thanks Team 17 for being a British developer and delivering the game to the American market first, makes me feel loved.
not played the DS vaersion, but on the PC peggle is just plain addictive.
It's weird how many people I talk to who weren't yet the game gets perfect scores and game of the year awards in many places.
I think my brain would explode trying to create a list of games you should play, far too many. Been playing games for nearly 20 years, I;ve still missed tons.
Gah, they look so familiar, I know I should have seen the show, but I'm lost right now.
Casual games can hit me worse than the big boys of gaming, I can't tell you how obsessed over my Bejeweled scores I got.
And one of the most hilarious things about this game, is that LucasArts tried to sue Digg.com for copyright infringement.
