"No price has been discussed yet. It’s up to Rockstar on whether or not they will charge for it"
The deal was that M$ paid R* $50 Million as a front for the income they expected to generate from the DLC. M$ is basically saying that they think they will make at least $50 Million on DLC alone.
This 'story' is ridiculous. It's a bunch of flamebait bullet points on what 'may' have been said behind closed doors.
Don't you think M$ would be scream...
Mostly to play movies on, but I find myself playing more games than movies on it. It sits next to my PS2, so BC wasn't an issue, and the wi-fi is awesome as 99% of the time I can get on COD4 w/ no lag. It gets a lot of grief, but it does the job well, for both movies and games.
It allows more freedom to do what they want. Don't think for a second that the devs wouldn't do the same w/ the competition if they could. 20 min one time install when you get it is no big deal. Read the manual. Take a dump. You guys make it sound like you have to install it every time you want to play for a half hour.
The gameplay is what matters and so far it looks amazingly fun. I can't wait to play it.
Did you even play the game? It was absolutely gorgeous and the gameplay was fun and addicting. No install was needed and TBH if a dev wants to have an install it should be available. That's what standard HDD's are for. I don't like the sizes currently, but if it ever becomes an issue I'll upgrade my HDD for cheap.
W/ the last patch. I had one day where my connection was bad and lagged like crazy, but I think it was because someone was sharing my wireless connection (yes, it works for gaming, and yes, when no one else is on it works as well as a wired connection). Since then no problems. Can't wait for this patch, but I'm still going through all the weapons and upgrading them, so I have only played one game w/ the ACOG scope, it sucked, and all the other things really don't bother me that much (haven...
Think about it. How many internal studios does M$ own? How many does Sony own? Sony kills in this dept. Now how many 'exclusive' third party games have been put out compared to multiplats? There are FAR more multiplats and except for some fantastic games and programmers the system to get multiplats on was the 360.
Fact is that most devs want to go multiplat because there is so much more money in supporting both the 360 and PS3 (look at the GTA or DMC franchises). If multi...
It's the trolling nature of his posts. Who cares what this guy posted before. I don't care if he posted a million billion posts on how awesome bluray is. Fact is he found it, and others approved it. It's the system and obviously 'somebody' wants to read it or else there wouldn't be this many posts. If you don't want to read about it don't. If you just want to read about PSWii60 news, then go to those tabs. This isn't rocket science here. No one is making you stick to the main tab... ...
I thought this was terrible advice. Most of the time you have a split second to maybe get two shots off and 'possibly' a kill, but it not only lets the person who you're shooting at know where you are if you miss, but everyone else on the map as well. For noobs that's really bad advice IMO.
There's this really neat thing called www.google.com that really helps find that sort of thing. All you need is a jump drive.
But it is really going to be dependent on how well Sony markets it. If they are marketing MGS4 and GT5 along w/ this, or release Home integrated w/ it, along w/ bluray winning the HD format war, and I think it will have a bigger impact on HW sales for PS3. The 360 version will obv sell better, it has 7 million more consumers to sell to.
I own both and the biggest reason I'm getting it on the PS3 is that I hope I can use the d-pad to drive. Even if not I don't care about extra content because the only GTA game I beat was Vice City.
LOL
I suppose you aren't including the $1 Billion used for defective consoles...
Doesn't make sense... esp since employees of US companies are saying they haven't received new shipments for weeks... Plus this is Jan, when pocketbooks tighten and sales decrease from the holiday season, how can they not keep up w/ less sales after the holidays? Something isn't adding up.
Biggest reason for this is because they don't have many 1st party devs. Who else is going to make games for their system if they aren't? They better keep 3rd party devs happy (EA) or else they would be royally screwed.
The market they have tapped doesn't care about games. Like someone said before they care about Wii fit and Wii sports. The people buying these never even had a thought about the 360 or the PS3, so it is getting the extreme casual, the person who has never played video games, or their last system was the NES. PS3, however, will be able to capture a portion of the casual market due to Blu-ray IMO (or they actually market the motion sensor and HVB to steal some of that market from the Wii). ...
A blu-ray drive?
A standard HDD?
More 'Cores'?
Built in wireless?
The only thing I can think of that they would release in 2 years that would be an improvement over the PS3 would be a new graphics card. Will it make a difference? Will it do well in face of VERY stiff PS3 competition when the console defining games are coming out like crazy when the PS3 would be FAR cheaper w/ a MUCH larger library of games? They might as well throw in the towel if this is the...
And we're already talking about Halo 4, which has been said to not be in production yet? If (when) a new Halo comes out something needs to be added. I bought a 360 for this game and a new KOTOR and I was slightly disappointed w/ Halo TBH. I liked it more than Halo 2 because of how much more balanced it is, but it didn't do a whole lot more than Halo 2, especially online.
Keep the battle system the same, but get some decent writers. KOTOR2's story was terrible, yet I played it 4 times start to finish because the battle system is awesome, being able to 'find' Jedi and train them is better than awesome (esp for the dark side IMO), force powers and the 'super' force powers were awesome, and who doesn't like to just kill 20 some guys w/ a lightsaber alone? If they can upgrade the graphics, get rid of the glitches, and create a decent story this could EASILY get ...
It was just used the first year the PS2 came out. I looked at a few DC vs. PS2 articles and quite a few talked about how the DC had so many more AAA titles than the PS2 right now, when it matters, so that only a fool would buy one over a DC...
