...Metal Gear?!?
CRank: 5Score: 53630

Cheating has always been rampant in COD titles, regardless of platform. I remember on the PS3 playing Modern Warfare 2, coming across hacked lobbies where the rules worked differently, hackers could wipe all rank progression or even give you an absurd negative score to ruin accounts. The big issue is when a game has 150 players in it, the odds of running into at least one asshole increases greatly. Especially when a game mode is free, and getting banned isn't a big enough hurdle to rea...

I mean, the mechanics are entirely foreign to a traditional gamepad. VR games are a whole different thing. You'd essentially be asking modders to port Red Dead to the NES.

Probably quite a few, I haven't payed for + in forever since my primary games machine is my PC. I miss it occasionally if I hop into Bloodborne, but aside from that I'm glad to shift that money towards software I actually own. I can't imagine I'm too big of a minority in that. Honestly this news makes me want to ditch my Switch for a 3DS. I was looking forward to getting old GameBoy games on it, honestly there's only going to be a handful of exclusive games on the Swit...

Noble attempt, but you can't use reason with these people. It's funny how they all respond with "buy a console" when PC enthusiasts do in fact have them for exclusives. But it sure is nice to not have to throw away a box every 3 years for a new box and rebuy all my old software again for the new box and 💸💸💸. It's great being able to play literally everything on any controller I want and have all that old software simply scale and get better wit...

@C-H-E-F

Because some other studio ported it to PSVR as a cash grab, it's not as performance demanding, and even at that has piss poor performance (as expected) and isn't really playable. It's also bought with timed exclusivity so eventually a version worth playing will come out. Not being bitter or annoying, just stating facts. Sorry if facts hurt your feelings. Why would I be bitter? I own a PS4, it does fine playing 1 or 2 exclusives and running Netflix....

Uhh, because this game is a struggle for actual gaming machines to run really well. There's no way it'll run on a store bought kiddo toy.

If you have Steam, buying anything on the PSN network is a ludicrous idea. Why buy an inferior version on an inferior platform that has an expiration date? The PC version will only improve with hardware iteration.

I don't think PlayStation is generating any kind of crazy revenue off of hardware. They sell that little tech box for so cheap, I don't think it's about making money off the hardware. I'm sure they make a fair amount off of PS+ and console accessories, but primarily I think they're happy building a budget box to get as many people as they can buying up their software. Microsoft has realized this as well, and really selling your software on as many platforms as possible ...

I already have years ago, I'm not really wanting to play it so badly that I can't wait and end up having to pay for it twice. I much prefer buying games for hardware that doesn't have an expiration date printed on the box, and on hardware that runs software to the best of it's potential. I don't see why people find that stance to be so unreasonable. If the developers see the demand for PC, it could motivate them to do a little extra work to publish on it. 98% of consol...

If it supports the gyro like the Steam Controller, than it's ideal. Just have to adjust the sensitivity and ramp up speed on the pad. I just finished Doom on the Steam Controller and have never had a batter experience with a controller interface

I don't get why you are getting so many disagrees, it released as a primitive device. Vive far exceeds PSVRs capabilities and it'll continue to outpace it as the tech marches forward. They are already iterating on controllers and base stations, and better displays are also in R&D. Console folks sure seem to be sad about their affordable (cheap) tech, but I'm glad that it is as good as it is and that people are pleased with it.

PC, man. PC. Not only is a remaster entirely unnecessary, whatever slight changes might appear on the PC version comes entirely free anyways.

I love mine, I can't wait to see more Valve software for it because The Lab is unbelievably great and teases what they're working on.

@errorist76 Where are all these people putting their computers? I have a room with my PC, my desk, a monitor, and my bookshelf. It's not "dedicated" to VR, but it'll work splendidly for it, just like everything else I use the room for.

@ninsigma, It's largely the touch controllers and lighthouses. The tracking is amazing, and room-scale or even just standing VR looks incredible. Also the Vive has better field of view and direct Steam support, which is huge to me. Look up the YouTube channel NODE, the guys there are a lot of fun and they demo everything on the Vive, it sells itself.

And I'll be able to live on a cruise ship while teleporting around and punch everyone I see in the face! And then fly around in space and blow shit up, so I say "worth it" and preorder the hell out of the Vive

And far superior, so it makes sense

I'll be one of those people, preordering as soon as I can. Honestly I expected it to cost more.

It's too bad that Origin really sucks and makes games a pain in the ass to launch. It would be great if it played a little nicer with Steam.

I disagree wholeheartedly. Every day I like mine even better, it's everything I'd want out of a controller.
