It's a cool device with some neat games - and I can still play Black Ops with the joypad when I want to. Everyone in my office is talking about getting a Kinect bundle for Christmas. No talk about the Move of course.

Why didn't Sony just get it right the first time? The EyeToy is ten year old tech, and adding a lightbulb-on-a-stick hardly brings it into the 21st century. Kinect has beaten them to it, and now they have to come up with an ultrasonic solution?? Sony has so lost their way.

Move detects where the lightbulb is. The player may be anywhere, or not even there at all. Sony are just soooooo advanced ....

Let's hope that Sony can come up with something a little more advanced than a lightbulb on a stick then for the PS4.

A very memorable and well polished game. And Kinect is just sweet fun. I'll be in line to buy their next release. Looking forward to it already.

And as far as I am concerned, I do not need to spend any more money on this over-hyped franchise.

And GT5 is going to be no different. I had 4 colleagues asking me about Kinect yesterday in the office. No one was asking me about GT5. Parents everywhere are talking about Kinect while only hardcore Sony fans are talking about GT5. GT5 will sell well for a few weeks and then die. Kinect is already a system seller, and will remain so for years.

I've had no problems playing in less than 6 feet of space. A truely amazing device and more fun than most games I've played recently. Halo Reach and Uncharted have both been on-hold for the past week!

These two-day sales figures are very impressive. I know that some people think the future of gaming is glowing balls on a stick. But realistically the future of gaming is voice control and gesture control.

Move has already lost this fight.

Imagine - after 8 years of R&D, all that Sony could come up with was a light bulb on a stick! A truely amazing technological advance. Thank goodness they had the foresight not to implement voice control or gesture support like every other technology company.

Glowing balls lead the way!

And connot wait to get home and have fun. But I can spare a thought for the poor PS3 owners. It's been four long years of pain and almost unbearable suffering in third place. And it's really starting to show now.

But don't worry ... the pain will only get worse in the next generation when Apple brings out a console. Then Sony will be in fourth place.

You have to feel pity for a company that produces marketing material like this. What’s next Sony? “28% of ten year olds thought of Move for at least two seconds in the last month”. I just laugh at them at this stage. How the mighty have fallen …

Through all the non-sense formats and restrictions they impose on their users. Even thinking about buying a PS3 ... but this move is exactly why I dislike Sony so much. It's sheer desperation and will not win them even one new fan.

Very desperate.

... that the mighty Sony would only match the poor under-dog Microsoft in its first year sales! How the tables have turned.

I guess that xbox is becoming the standard by which other consoles are now measured.

They started this generation as the undisputed king – some 130 million PS2s sold and still counting. Then they got arrogant, mega greedy and decided they wanted it ALL.

Not content with having the guaranteed number 1 spot with the PS3, they also wanted all the revenue from Blu-ray patents they own. So what did Sony do? They forced a Blu-ray player into the PS3, gambling that its sales would crush the HD DVD.

Arrogantly Sony assumed that their loyal fans would pay...

... to see how the price difference between the cheapest Blu-Ray player ($400) and the cheapest HD DVD player ($200) affects holiday sales of both formats. For mass market products, PRICE is the key factor, not who supports the product. The Blu-Ray camp have a huge advantage in having a BD player in every PS3 – but the HD DVD camp have their own advantage in a much cheaper product.

As time passes, it’s looking less and less likely that Blu-Ray will crush the opposition, unless ...
