I, for one, really like Battlefield's realistic take on gunplay and would absolutely hate if they decided to take the Call of Duty approach and make it more like an action movie than a real war sim.

Half-Life 2 set the bar for FPS's, brought realistic physics into videogames, pushed storytelling in videogames to new heights, and was the definition of innovation and originality.

The Elder Scrolls is Bethesda and Bethesda is The Elder Scrolls. The only reason that Fallout: New Vegas worked was because Bethesda didn't make Fallout 1 & 2 - a lot of the people from Obsidian Entertainment (people who made Fallout: New Vegas) actually did.
