I would say you can judge a products worth by how much you can sell it for yourself. With the Series X, the re-sale value will be at rock bottom as others could simply sign up for the subscription model like yourself.
Also the 'deal' which you mentioned ties you in for multiple years with no major exclusives to be released until 2022.

Looks like a PS3 game, the LOD is shockingly low in parts. When they said it was gunna be a cross-gen game, i didn't realise they meant 3 generations.

As a Sony fan, I wanna see them just go ahead and announce if there are some killer titles in the works. If the likes of SOCOM, Silent Hill and Metal Gear Solid are coming to Playstation as exclusives, then just say. It could make the difference between someone getting a PS5 over a Series X.
