Games were cheaper to make back in the good old days, so companies took more risks and even survived really bad reviews/launches. Nowadays, games consist of 100-1000 man development teams, all with the quest to bring high graphical fidelity.... thus, far too expensive. So less riskier trends are now followed (BF2042 is a prime example)
Well Ive just managed to sell Demons Souls and Rift Apart for around £30 each.Try doing that with digital media.
I feel sorry for you.
Bloody POCs
They should of stuck to the Counter Strike formula instead of offering both CS/COD mechanics. Basically no ADS, strong round based action. They just needed to keep it simple and move Crossfire in the next generation, gamers don't know what they want sometimes until you give em something.
With the energy crisis, surely this is a great chance to harness the power of: 'Tom Clancy rolling in his grave'.
Riskier and Live Service don't tend to be in the same sentence.
I bought a golf club 'upgrade' for Everybody's Golf 7 back in 2017, pretty much Pay to Win. I felt physically sick and i couldn't look at myself in the mirror for a few weeks.
I wish more ppl would take the red pill with this practice, the consumers are destroying gaming without even knowing it.
ahh not more Trans stuff...
1. Back to classes and factions ie. US, RUS, CHN, GB, MEA etc etc
2. Remove 128 player modes for better tick rate.
3. Add in all the portal maps and weapons into the main game.
4. Remove any idea of lore or narrative, as the climate narrative isn't working.
5. Remove all character dialogue from the game, as its poor beyond belief.
6. Get rid of calling in vehicles and only have them spawn at captured bases.
7. Balance everything in the...
lol you will struggle to find a GT player that uses chase cam, that more a Forza/NFS thing. Most GT players use the track cam.
I recently bought a BC PS3 and have it hooked up to a Sony CRT TV via scart RGB. It's such a breath of fresh air compared to played bf2042 on the ps5. The old ways are truly the best, and I don't feel old saying that.
Hopefully this is for the better for proper arcade enthusiasts over in the Japan. The sega arcades tend to be full of UFO catchers and modern mech and ryhthm games. Hopefully the void will be filled by more independent arcades offering a better variety in games.
Honestly, the best arcade (if not in the world) which I've been to, is Arcade Club in Bury UK. It's £15 to get in, and then everything is free, it has practically every arcade machine you can think of. Including...
Scoring a goal when you're 3-0 down at half time isn't a comeback. MS are lucky that the scruffy Series S is bolstering their sales up. I reckon the PS5 is outselling the Series X 3:1 currently, and it's only going to climb.
Scoreboard updates are trivial at this point. There are non-binary characters flying around my screen with squirrel suits, complete lack of classes and factions, shocking amount of weaponary and maps, a portal mode that the community would rather ignore because of XP issues and the game runs poorly with higher tick rates being found on games 10yrs older (bad company 2 PC for example)
Why make games when you can just buy em? Christ....what a time to be alive :(
As a PlayStation fan, i hope it does become Xbox/PC exclusive. Sony imo have relied on this franchise for too long, it will create a nice big hole for the likes of SOCOM, Warhawk, Resistance, MAG etc etc to slot into.
Yeh that is what i was getting at.
Xbox fans "Don't worry, Crossfire X will be launching very soon and will be a world beating FPS exclusive to Xbox"
