@SeTTrip It’s clear that Insomniac is inspired by Naughty Dog, heck most PS studios are. Lol
Yeah, This is Sony experimenting with this streaming device. There are companies that take a risk and try to release some new consumer device and see how the public likes it. I agree it’s dead on arrival.
@Flawlessmic I also gave Sony a pass for not having a showcase last year. Better to not show anything than to waste our time. They could of honestly just called this a State of Play to quell expectations.
@darkrider If Sony would have bought the Metal Gear IP who would make it? Kojima doesn’t want to do Metal Gear again and I don’t want to see a new Metal Gear without him. When MS bought the Gears IP they had The Coalition and Rod Fergusson, who had experience with Gears at Epic.
Another troll account.
I’m surprised YongYea gave it that high of a score, he’s usually a tough grader. Yoshida said a couple of years ago, that Sony learned from showing games too early.
MS also had an event like this last year. The only big first party games that they showed were Redfall, Forza and Starfield. Everything else was 3rd party. The “everything you see at this show, will be played in the next 12 months” was a lie.
Yoshida said a couple of years ago that they learned from their mistake of announcing games too early.
@shadowT Starfield better be Skyrim on steroids for it to have a chance. Most people are saying that TOTK makes BOTW look like a tech demo, and BOTW swept every major GOTY that year.
Sony definitely didn’t have a meek beginning. They released Demon Souls Remake, Returnal, Rift Apart, HFW, GT7, and Ragnarok. I know the last 3 were cross gen, but those played best on PS5.
@Pyrofire95 It was not just a “normal showcase”. A normal showcase is a state of play. This was their biggest show of the year.
A troll that just made this account.
@outsider1624 Insomniac has been working on SM2 since 2019. Those other studios that you mentioned didn’t start their projects until 2021.
@Goosejuice Even though it’s 3rd party, I think the Metal Gear Solid 3 leak hurt the conference a bit. It could of been a Holy bleep moment, if people didn’t know it was coming.
E3 2016 was better than 2015. But I agree, Sony hasn’t had a great conference since then.
@z2g Stop with your victim complex. Sony has early over 25 years of the benefit of the doubt. MS hasn’t proven squat for a decade. You sound like Republicans “If Donald Trump did this” LMAO
@Flawlessmic I agree with you this showcase was mid. I gave them a pass last year because I thought their studios didn’t have anything to show. But after a year later, this is what they come up with? I understand most of their 1st party studios are not ready to show anything and Sony is being every conservative these days about announcements. But still it was a big disappointment. Not showing Factions after Neil said they would talk about it in 2023 was criminal.
@FallenAngel1984 I see that you have 1984 so I definitely know that you were around then. You should know that the PS3 had a horrible start. Sony had to do a lot of work to sell PS3’s and to get their respectability back.
Not the biggest multiplayer fan. But those games are here to stay.
