I feel your assessment. The destruction & playability in DK is phenomenal. MK has a ton to unluch and some dope tracks. It's something about both that didn't punch in areas where it needed the most.
Donkey Kong is an average game. Mario Kart is now neutered and watered down. I'm hoping Metroid is at least above average.

From the beginning this should have been evident. They spent way more money getting big 3rd party games to "be free" ON HAME PASS!!! Their own consumers bragged up and down saying we get it for a fraction, or ignorantly proclaiming it's free. I also knew as soon as they started buying up those major publishers. I knew it was a wrap.
