How exactly is it lack of integrity? The market isn't flexable enough to charge people exactly how much they value a game (or cd / film etc) - the people who pay 60$ value the game at 60$ - those that dont.

Think about it this way, full time student, only just making rent etc - downloads a game and plays it. Would he have purchased it otherwise, defo not, he can't afford 60$ - maybe a cheaper price, but never at full price. Has the game been pirated - yes. Is it a lost sale...

Because you really need to learn some stuff about free market supply and demand. Just because someone pirates something doesn't mean its a lost sale. Read my previous about suites ruining the industry - its all money, hence they are willing to chase every last possible sale, even if it means punishing real consumers, read DRM. Yes, they invest millions in it, but next to revenue from real sales, its a drop in the ocean.

Try to think round the subject, not just quote what the...

Development is a key factor for indie developers, thats why alot of them are switching to either handheld (ds, psp), or download (psn / xbl) business models. Larger studios adapt, they have bigger budgets, outsource artwork, purchase in middleware and reuse technology over titles and platforms.

Every console life cycle the tears come out about increasing development costs, production time scales etc. You know the biggest problem in the industry at the moment is milestone driv...

The PlayStation 1 and the PlayStation 2 were very easy to get pirated software, yet neither could be called a failure. Both had some wonderful IP - as is the PS3.

However, at the same time, the promise of the PS3 being an all in 1 media solution for your front room is so far from the truth its unfunny. Limited container support, limited codec support (yes, it support AVC, but only upto level 4.1 etc). 4 gig file size limit. No FLAC / ogg support. Outside of playing divx in ...

How can you say the linux side of PS3 is acceptable as homebrew.

- No access to the GPU, so things like hardware overlays are out the question
- 2 channel sound still (after almost 1 1/2 years there isn't a kernel driver for 5.1 sound)

Those 2 things basically make ps3 linux completely pointless as a media centre. Couple that with some of the filthy adding fake overscan to the framebuffer.

I'd like to see Xmen:CotA and MSH too. God I loved those back in the Saturn day.

I've not played the online side of things much, too busy enjoying the sinple player game, but its good to know that they are working on any issues people might be having.

Looking forward to whats being added with DLC too.

2 things I really want (but I'll be stunned if we ever get).

- MKV support. We already have the hard part taken care of (the 264 video decoding, and ac3 is also in there) - just need to handle getting stuff out the mkv container

- Gtalk / jabber support.

That actually looks really good. Going to pick up a copy I think.

Next to CoD4 it just seemed dull. Not enough servers, and half the weapons felt pointless without a mouse and keyboard.

I purchased it hoping the M/K support would be good enough to almost play it like a PC FPS - sadly, it was dire. Laggy, and generally unplayable.

Only game I've purchased for my PS3 that I've traded in to date.

But is it going to be available in the uk?

Really, Halo? I dont think so...

Played about 90% of the first one on Xbox 1 and can say its possibly the most overrated game ever. 75%'er at best. About the first 3 levels were fun, after that it was complete garbage. Some of the maps were like "copy, mirror, rotate" job done. Awful.

Real list:-
5. Project Gotham Racing 3 / 4
4. Ninja Gaiden 2
3. Gears of War 1 / 2
2. Mass effect
1. Ikuriga

10 / 10 doesn't have to mean perfect, it could mean its just exactly what you want out of a game.

Few would probably argue that FF7 wasn't a 10 / 10 game when it was released, but by todays standards the gfx are dated etc Just because it isn't perfect doesn't mean its not as good as gaming gets at this moment in time.

Think of it this way... if I was to describe my car, its a Toyota Yaris 1.4D. I'd give it 10/10 - why, because its cheap to run, getting 62mpg, f...

And its not even out in Euro yet. Got my pre-order ready, roll on June for MGS4 and FF7CC - going to be a great month.

Sometimes I think the new content on the PSN is a double edged sword.

I really like the fact that alot of the PSN games are more than just <xxx> HD, often being completely new IP.

But at the same time, I really do wish we could get things like Res and Ikuriga on the PSN.

Still, Superstar dust is the absolute business, and I can't believe it didn't make that list. Can honestly say, its probably my fav PS3 title to date, blueray or PSN.

A debug firmware on a retail kit means full homebrew support, and ideally the development of a a PS3 Media Centre type thing, with RSX / GPU access and MKV support.
