The combat looks a lot like Assassins Creed and the Batman Arkham games...and people love those games, but ryse has wayyyyy more executions that batman and Creed combined.

Wii sold 100 million, but only first party titles sold, and it was pretty much everyones second console. Most people that had a wii also had either an Xbox or PS3 in the house.

The amount of consoles sold is around 150 million (combining xbox 360 and PS3) and that is about the same amount of people who bought the ps2 (which was easily the most successful of last gen)
In a generation the market hasnt really grown. Games are getting bigger, but not as many people are buying.

When I pick up an Xbox Live Arcade or PSN game, there is a sense of polish and certainty that it wont be (most of the time)a broken piece of junk.

Sure there are a lot if shooters, but they are all not trying to rip off a single game, such as mine craft, as well as trying to put the absolute least amount of effort possible.

The problem is that Microsoft did support Indies on 360, and it ended up being awful. Most of the indie section ended up being Minecraft clones
I can see it from either end. Microsoft had stuff like Braid and Super Meat Boy, and treated them as every other game. Made them follow the rules that every developer had to follow, but then the smaller teams complained.
Why should a dev team get special treatment just because they are smaller?

Name one game that has better shooting mechanics than Rage. I can't think of any game this generation that had better shooting.
Rage didn't have the best story, in fact it was kind of bad, but Rage is a fantastic game. The mechanics and game play are so good it makes up for the lack of story.
Wingsticks.....So much fun.
Id also managed to get stage running at a buttery smooth 60 frames on consoles, and achieved it without sacrificing ...

The Xbox one was on sale for pre orders for 7 days before they changed the DRM. If you really think they changed their mind because of pre order numbers after a week, you really are stretching it.
