How is remastering and re-releasing something screwing their fan base?
All other forms of entertainment have seen re-released remasters, the Beatles just remastered their library of tracks I don't think that the Beatles fan base feels screwed about it.
Hell, I own God of War and the collectors edition of 2 and have a PS2 compatible PS3, the re-mastered pack is still pre-ordered because I see the value of being able to play two of my favorite games in 720p at 60 frame...

This game is gorgeous, the whole your dead and have to kill to collect souls to get back to life is awesome. The online integration is very cool, and if you die, you loose everything you gained until you make it back to that point. This game is going to be crazy.
