I have the Deluxe Edition paid in full also. I have been looking forward to this game for quite some time, I just was not expecting it to be this good.
Only a few more weeks and I cant F'in wait. Between this and Uncharted 2 I will be picking up 2 AAA titles this October.
Wow soxfan, thanks for pointing out that Killzone 2 is the better game.
You are absolutely right.
I keep thinking that Killzone 2 hit during the last holidays for some reason.
So from reading the review this game is coming in way short on content for a $60.00 game. (Read the first four paragraphs)
So its Halo as its always been, graphics, physics, multiplayer, just with some new game play mechanics. "
Maybe Halo Reach will bring something fresh to the table.
"ODST does suffer for the lack of genuinely new elements it adds to the Halo universe, and the campaign mode is a bit brief."
That last quote ...
Uncharted 2, Call of Duty MW2, Batman AA and Infamous so far this year.
I still think that its way to early to call, there are a ton of games coming out before new years, one of those could always be a sleeper.
Actually 10% is still way to high for me.
Sony Europe was quoted last week as saying that there warranty claims are around 1/2 a percent. Who do you believe? IDK But I only know one person who has had to send there PS3 back to Sony.
How many surveys will it take before these huge numbers are taken as fact?
Edit:
@cmrbe 1.12
I know your telling the truth because the same goes for where I'm at. Out of the dozen or so people I know that have or have had a 360 ALL of them have broken. RROD, disc read errors, E what ever the hell the latest one is called?
From a consumers stand point it is unacceptable.
Is Rockstar North take full advantage of the Cell standard HDD and the space on a Blu-Ray disc Duel Layer, yeah the 50 gig one. Then make a game that changes the face of gaming like the GTA series did.
If this is going to be open world they need to make it globe spanning, or nation wide or even a few states if done to scale. Go ahead Rockstar make a 100 gig game if you need to. I swear I wont be mad about it.
"ESPECIALLY when COD4 was one of PS3's best selling games. "
And considering Sony just put another 850,000 units in households over the last 2 weeks.
I don't see why the 360 bundle is such a big deal. I mean MW 2 is coming out on both systems. Now, I know that Modern Warfare 2 will sell more units than any other game this year but it still makes for a meh kind of bundle. The ODST bundle seems more logical to me, just like the Uncharted 2 PS3 bundle.
I guess its a good way to push the 250 gig HDD.
"of all PS3s sold in the UK to date, fewer than one half of one per cent of units have been reported as failing in circumstances where the yellow indicator is illuminated."
That is a very impressive number.
I love the one console breaks all the time so the other one has to mentality. Its almost like some people want two POS consoles on the market.
I read this article last night. This game is Heavenly Sword done better. Sounds like this will be another deep adventure from Ninja Theory.
Still would love to see another Heavenly Sword game, Ninja Theory.
Units moved in two weeks?
I had thought that a lot of people where waiting for a price cut, I had no idea how many where standing at the line waiting for the gun to go off.
It looks like they will move over 1 million units this month. Wow, just wow.
I'm not saying the Wii "NEEDS" a price cut or that every one else should take one. I am saying that what you can get at the same price or for a extra $50.00 in overall entertainment value is crazy.
For there to be that large of a gap in capability and such a small price difference or not a price difference at all is not very logical.
@ above
Ok? if you say so.
You seem to not understand "VALUE" and that up until the recent price cuts, price was more of a weighing point to the general consumer than value is now. Its nothing against the 360 or the Wii, its just that for what you get the prices are a bit off.
And stop trying to weasel your way out of not having a full grasp of what you where trying to say in the first place.
@bellow
I get that there are ease of us...
You are absolutely right!
But I was talking about price cut anticipation and not the general demand for the Wii.
Just to be clear, I am talking about Value (marketing) and Value (economics) not Value (semiotics)
How much dose is cost? What are the features? And how do those features benefit me? You know the kind of value most people use when they are spending money.
Edit:

I upgraded from the 1000 to the 3000 and the smaller design, (Its soooo much lighter) better screen, and being able to plug it into my LCD was with out any doubt worth the upgrade.
I will be getting a lot of those games.
Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker
Resident Evil Portable
Final Fantasy Agito XIII
Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep
Parasite Eve: The 3rd Birthday
Gran Turismo
Little Big Planet and
Undead Knights
All day one.
Hey bro, its nothing against the game. I was just wondering why the game got and is getting an A score when almost every review points out its glaring flaws followed up buy the word "but".
I am sure the game is great for what it is, (Halo 3 expansion) I am also sure the game is fun as the previous entries in the franchise all are, (well except for the RTS).
Also I have a huge issue with the $60.00 price tag as I do not want to see this kind of value proposi...
