Same here! The GT series will soon be over. Time for PD to step aside and let the new kids on the block show them how to make a racing sim properly. Oh wait, GT was a driving sim which explains all those useless cars their games had.

I agree. GT5 will be a system seller. Sony needs to bundle the game with a PS3, slim or not. As for people buying PS3's for exclusives, i have quite a few friends (aged 25 or older) and none of them bought a PS3 for it's exclusives. Some bought it for the Bluray player and others bought the system because they always owned Playstations. Now they are all Xbox 360 owners with most of them owning all three systems. With that said, GT5 would be a system seller just like GOW3. Let's see what kind ...
I would be VERY surprised to see it beat those GT3 numbers. The PS3's install base is smaller and there is a new player in town this time around. If Forza is as good as it looks, it will take a nice slice of that GT5 pie. I'll have a front row seat on N4G when both games are released and the first numbers come out. Until then, i'll be waiting for that GT5 release date!

I recall hearing the same thing said about Killzone 2. What happened with that? If Sony's smart they will bundle GT5 with a slim PS3 at the holidays. Gotta increase that install base!

Forza 3 will sell well but not as good as ODST all due to the Reach beta. MW2 & Wii Sports Resort should sell the most. Uncharted 2 should do well enough but far from the top of the list me thinks.
If MS drops the price of the Elite to $300, i'll be buying one the next day and selling my Pro version. Slap a 500g hdd and it's even better!
Even after a price cut, Sony's PS3 will still be crowned the most expensive HD console on the market, whether it's a slim or not. Either way, i have no interest in a PS3 what so ever. It would have to hit $200, which is not gonna happen anytime soon.
