Granted, it's rare for games to do this, but I don't see how it's weird.
You wanna know what's weird?

Develope for Vita and Xbox One, he said.
File for bankruptcy, he said.
Sounds a bit like Evolve.
I really don't see the point with The Last of Us. It actually ran very well on last-gen, whereas Skyrim didn't. I might even consider this if it runs perfectly and looks better.
Haha! I'll take that as a pretty funny joke.
Why would I enjoy that? I don't live in Japan, don't have a Wii U or a 3DS and tend not to get too much satisfaction out of sale numbers.
I think the 3DS and Wii U line-ups for 2014 should get some good numbers, though.
I feel like the developers know this better than anyone. The fact that they did scale it down to 6v6 because of balance instead of going with huge scale gimmicky battles like everyone wants makes me think this game might not be such a lame, unoriginal game after all.
Wow, did Nintendo get exclusive rights to selling software, or something? That's a lot of 3DS / Wii U.
I think consoles will be around in all overseeable future, unless these servers start popping up in people's back yard. If you want maximum response time then ping time is actually subject to the speed of light, and at great distanes that's somewhat noticeable. The lines between console and computer are blurring, though, so I'm sure consoles will be very different from what they are now. Just like PS4 / Xbox One are quite different from PS2 and Xbox
I was really not looking forward to this, but this sounds like the first non-gimmicky thing I've heard from the game. More excited now.
Yes, 3DS is one, and as far as I know, the only Nintendo console to wait before picking up its pace.
Tons of game sites have it on their most wanted lists, but whatever
It's actually pretty off this time. Guess the prognosis is based on old numbers. Sony announced that they had sold 4.2 PS4's by December the 28th at CES.
Anyway, VGchartz doesn't operate based on these announcements (though it may be that they adjust the numbers after that, not sure). Their numbers are based on extrapolating the data they gather, so yeah, it's not always perfect, but it's an indication.
@DragonKnight
Since it's out for free now, and since you've already spent an infinite amount of time researching the title (which I guess you feel more or less equates playing it), you might as well play it, so that you can finally get your DmC PhD.
I mean, combat is definitely easier, but still enjoyable. It is hard on the hardest difficulty, if not as hard as the average "Dante Must Die".

It's been said, but yeah: These are the expectations for Nintendo's fiscal year. Going forward, a great thing to do when you see something that doesn't make sense is to re-read it. Make sure you've gotten every word right.
Oh boy. I'd love to see some stats for that.
It seems to me that Nintendo is typically not slow at gathering momentum. It took Nintendo about six months to sell 10 million Wii consoles, and if you take a look here:

1) Genetic alteration is a reality now.
2) What "hard research" was that? Assassin's Creed III?
No, this is a virtual TV-screen. They've released one already. It's like watching a big TV without the need for a big TV, not like being inside a game.
Naturally, all books are subject to scrutiny. It would be extraordinary if the Bible, the most read and most influential book (or collection of books) in the world, was anything else than the most criticised, misinterpreted, loathed and loved book around.
@cyguration
It's not that hard.
"See Timmy, Alice is actually transgendered. She thought she'd feel happier as a woman, so she decided she wanted to be one (depending a little bit on the circumstances, if there's an actual sex change involved etc)."
Kids who learn to understand homosexuals, transgenders while growing up most likely won't think it's strange at all.
