Sounds to me like this is just another article to justify the fan-boyish behaviour that is projected from camp Sony. Trying to take even more from MS and the Xbox followers. I'm in full agreement with you regarding their handling of the situation. It's a real shame, even with all the negativity around their DRM and Used game policies, they still believed in their vision, their direction; so did many of the public... Just not enough. Change is always difficult, it was clear that the majority were nowhere ready for such a drastic shift. I for one could not get my head around the fact that we wouldn't be able to play the console without Internet.
Sony continued in the same fashion as before by focusing their show on their offering while taking constant stabs at MS, playful you may think, no. It has developed a righteous justification in the hearts of fanboys to open and unashamed attacks on everything MS.
And Sony making that video about how to share games, really cheap, mocking a competitor in the same industry that is trying really hard to do something different.

There has been a systematic breakdown of Ms and every word that comes fom them is obsessively analysed, speculated and commented on. Since sony's reveal in feb the barking started. It was everywhere, every single person demanding to know what MS have in store, industry leaks gave many things away and made many things very cloudy :)

It is a shame, I felt the dip especially after the launch of kinect v1. It did seem as if the public address shifted to casual and family.
E3 was good in terms of games, the console seems to be a love or hate thing.

Its MS I'm more than a little worried about, you see, I love Xbox aswell. The last thing I want is to jump through hoops I don't want to, and it mostly thanks to Sony and the community that MS has actually stopped the snowball and start to consider that the gamers should always come first when it comes to the Xbox brand. Keep us happy first THEN do your livingroom domination ...
I'd say that MS should be thanked by you then, not hated. The only reason Sony is pushing so hard is because of the Xbox brand. They are doing everything in their power to be outgoing, communicative and focused, solely because Xbox has been 'competition' to them for the hardcore gamer.
We are all benefiting from both players being in the game, they are driving and pushing eachother so that we get choice, variety, entertainment and joy from our games consoles. <...

New OS, new DirectX, new console, you want it? You buy it, simple. You don't want the latest technologies then stick with what you have. Simple.
MS really do come across as control freaks, but the big difference is that Sony and Nintendo are true games companies, with Sony there is the added benefit of all of their cool innovations and consumer electronic products, music and film, they are a true entertainment company.
MS is a very different beast, it's all business, operating systems, business software solutions etc, very boring stuff for gamers, with their Xbox division they have tried to be the 'cool' ...
