Great. I heard this version was awesome, and now this? The developer that made this port said that it was "easy" and there was "no problem" creating this port. Wow, I hope this is not a let down. I guess we will see....
This was right after E3 old show, and news. Must have been a repeat cause I saw this months ago.
Not a Gimmick. You can use any type of controller you want. If you want you can use the gamepad as an HUD on some games which I think is great. On the fly weapons switching on games like Assassins Creed 3. According to developers-easy to develop for, newer Tech, and more Ram. I think that Nintendo is going to have some great looking games this time around. Will it have PS4's power? No, but it will have the power to pull of some very nice stuff! Activision says that BOPS2 on Wii U ha...
Oh well, I am a 40yo gamer, never had that happen on one of my Sega or Nintendo systems EVER. Oh yeah, I have had it happen on my high end PC's though. Some of my systems are older than most of you on this site. They have also been dropped, kicked, and rained on. The cartridges, CD's, Mini-DVD's, and Consoles all still work. When it has happened on my PC's all info is already backed up, so it is no issue. Just a pain in the butt.
4K TV's are out yeah, and NO NETWORK SUPPORTS IT. That is a long way down the line my friends. Most people just upgraded to 720p and 1080p tvs, in the past 7 years. I think Xbox will be out next year and Sony in a year and a half or so. I am not shelling out $500 bucks plus for a new Xbox...At least with Wii U you can use any Hard drive you want.
I am not sure. I know that the Wii U is using a special disk that stores way more than a DVD, but it is not Blu-Ray. To use regular blu-ray Microsoft would have to pay a royalty. I just looked it Up a DVD holds 4.7 GB Nintendos disk holds 25 GB and Blu-ray 33.4 GB per layer.
Really, you are not missing much, accept a headache. I just looked for you, and you can pick one up on E-bay for $145.00. I would not do it though. You would be let down. Stick with any other console as Nintendo..If you have a Wii , there are a TON of great games for Gamecube you can play on it, and get the Gamecube games on E-bay for next to nothing.
I agree with you on Virtual Boy...Uggg....I heard the creator of it Gunpei Yokoi committed suicide after its failure. I just Googled it and had mixed results. I heard that years ago though. I hope he wouldn't kill himself over something like that though.
I for one liked the Gamecube. I did not mind the controller at all. The games were KICK BUTT, and It had almost 2x's the power of PS2. I loved the wavebird, which was the first wireless controller. and still have mine to this day, it is plugged into my Wii. Some of the Cube titles are better than Wii games!
I am so glad any Hard Drive will work. Nintendo could have really screwed us and made us buy a Nintendo Hard Drive. Ehhheemmmm.....
As a 40 year old guy, I can tell you Nintendo has been both from the days of NES till now. The N64 was too hard to develop for. The Gamcube had way more power than PS2 and many hardcore games, but it sold just okay. The Wii had some pretty cool hardcore gamer games, BUT Nintendo really should have given the Wii more power, I mean common. It was just a step up from the Gamecube. Now with Wii U, Graphics will be good, and its going to do what it should. The casual gamers will get their fun...
At this point and time, it is about preference. Nintendo has GREAT games, more IP'S than anyone else. Better hardware than any other console out there for at least a year. No other system can do what Wii U can period. When the new systems come out watch them once again follow the leader. The reason there was so little info about Wii U released even at E3 is because Nintendo knew they would be copied, and that is EXACTLY what Nintendo said after E3.
Seeing as how this feature can be changed or even shut off, I am not worried.
Zombi U, is enough for me. Mario, Zelda, Metroid, Bayonetta are on the way.
It may seem like its the same game each year, BUT Nintendo has changed that. LIKE IT OR NOT....ACTIVISION said that Wii U has changed the game period...You cant get mad or DISLIKE me for what ACTIVISION said...Activision also said "No matter what your console preference Wii U has a clear advantage" So I for one am looking forward to the Gamepad in front of me as a MAP and the pro-controller in my hands and on the fly weapons switch. Sorry but Microsoft and Sony can't do that. ...
This is no surprise, I mean really. You can still pug it in,and play. I am sure you can charge while playing.... what do you expect from a basic tablet...when I say basic tablet I mean the console must be on. The Controller is AMAZING if you have not held it in your hands....It feels natural. I think Nintendo May miss the mark this time with the casual gamers this time they want to prove Nintendo is the LEADER as far as games are concerned! Of coarse Sony and Microsoft will FOLLOW...and p...
I have a feeling, some of the Nintendo haters are now kind of wishing they hadn't bashed the Wii U so much. For at least the next year, Nintendo Is the best Console period! The way it looks for Sony it may be 2 years for PS4. By the time 720 and PS4 are out developers will just be tapping into what the Wii U can really do. Wii U can handle games like BOPS2 without even breaking a sweat.
"I can't justify paying the current price point" Really? It has how much more memory, much newer tech in terms of a processor and a gamepad for $30 more than the PS3 slim, also Wii U supports all hard drives, unlike Microsoft which you have to have a Microsoft HD. Whatever dude your loss. The Wii U is not much more than a current gen system that is almost 7 years old.
LOL Microsoft, Xbox360 Ring Of Death. When 360 was released, for about the first year, you could be playing your brand new 360 and out of blue the glowing ring would turn red indicating, total system crash. The only fix was a new 360.
No it was not. here is the you tube link. It was a repeat. http://www.youtube.com/watc...
