Love it or hate it, COD sells. Its understandable that a new dev wants to make their mark, and gain a passionate fanbase, while still catering to the millions of COD fans looking for a new game with the same type of gameplay. I believe that Advance Warfare (from what I have seen) seems to cater to both fans. I hope that Sledgehammer did a good job with this game, and I will pick it up later in the year.

Why would Sony take note from a random journalist? Why do I point this out? Well, first we as gamers need to understand the purpose of this article is to attract attention, clicks, and comments. Now to the issue discussed: Microsoft made some mistakes, and they fixed them. If Sony needs to fix anything, its just some issues with PSN. Beyond that, both console manufactures are doing just fine, and until this holiday season ends, it is impossible to predict where the market share will go.

I respect your opinion, and I am also a Sony fan, but I also love Microsoft, and with that I just dislike seeing hate on a site that generally has, for the most part, one of the more educated communities. For a Sony-only fan (which there is nothing wrong with being a fan of just one platform), the hatred may not be too apparrant, but for a gamer of Xbox and PlayStation, it can be terrible to see so much undeserved hate, for something as insignificant as a choice of game consoles

Why does N4G even approve satire?

i don't see why there is a defeat and winning in the first place. Its a stupid concept to say one group of fans is "winning". Its not like any group of fans did some event to make them "win" other than give a company their money

Why would I waste my time to watch this? I know its gonna be some guy ranting on this fictional console war

As a xbox fan I can even see this is pathetic. Seriously. Does anything need to even be said. Claiming a fanboy group admits defeat is fanboyish in nature itself. Hyprocritical in every sense

Who really cares which console is better? Its all subjective. Say I am the biggest InFamous fan in the world. Are you to tell me that the Xbox One is still a better choice? Same with Halo. If I love Halo, and play Halo most of the time I play games, who is to say the PS4 is the better choice for me? You would think that gamers would stop fighting and just buy both consoles if they cared that much. When one exclusive releases that gets good reviews, everybody starts freaking out over this. The...

I still believe that the Wii U needs a price drop, and a model (and accompanying software update) making the gamepad not neccessary. Yes, I have a Wii U, and the GamePad is not worth my time. It can be fun to play games on there and watch TV, but to raise the price of the console to this price is not worth it. Even a $100 price drop would boost sales significantly. Nintendo needs to either have a good price point, or a good amount of power, and the Wii U has neither. Yes, it has many great ex...

This should not be a Xbox Live vs PlayStation Network issue. It should be a PSN issue alone. Sony has never had online gaming as its forte, and certainly now it shows that. While I have my interest in PlayStation franchises, and plan on buying the system at some point, I will never buy a third party game on the console that is online based. It is a sad reality, but PSN is not acceptable for a online service in 2014. Sony needs to fix the service, or drop the price back down to free

A general trend on this site is that those with higher bubbles are nearly always massive one sided Sony fans. Now I don't dislike any 8th gen console, but it seems like this site is very biased. Is there anyway to fix the issue of bubbles? I bring this up because even in this article, those who hate and are anti-Xbox seem to always have more bubbles than even rational Xbox fans. This is not a critique of the game console's communities, but a critque on the hypocritical nature of the b...

Simply talking to most of my gamer friends, who generally don't care about graphics and just like playing games

I bet so. If word of mouth is enough, the game should sell great. Along with the bundle, which is now $349 starting November 2nd

It seems as though more gamers are concerned with this being a "win" for Microsoft. Now I don't know why that concerns gamers whether a company "wins" anything, unless they are stock holders. This game has received great reviews, and that is what should be said. Hype, and anticipation should be filling the comment sections, not using this game as another pawn in the chess game of the console war. As a proud Xbox gamer, I find it sad that gamers on this site can't g...

Personally I find that its hard to estimate what the overall gaming community will buy. Most people in comment sections, and sites like N4G, are exposed to the news much more than the average gamer. Commenters have gone through resolution gate, and the DRM, and Kinect, and so many issues with the Xbox One. When I discuss this with my less game-savvy (but gamers none the less) friends, they seem to have no idea what I am talking about. While it is certainly possible that PS4 sales could take a...

Laggier rolls? Seems like it could be an interesting change, i have used so many rolls due to the insane speed. It feels as though the 3DS version is like a beta for the Wii U version. That is my opinion, but it still feels like a solid game.

DICE is working on battlefront, so i think that a 2016 release date seems a bit too early even, giving them a year and a half (assuming they are the developer) to two years to finish the game

This game likely recieved too much hype to begin with. While Evolution Studios had a decent game with Motorstorm, was it enough to give way to the hype for Driveclub? Yes, the game looked beautiful, however the lack of quantity of cars should have been the first sign that maybe this game wasn't a top-of-the-line exclusive. Now if it was Naughty Dog who released a terrible game, this amount of concern over quality would be justified, however I think it is better to forget DriveClub, and si...

Halo: MCC and COD: AW are my big games for the month, however I do have to be cautious when being hyped for a franchise such as Call of Duty. While a new dev could be a fresh leap forward for innovation in the series, it is always important to keep in mind that Call of Duty thrives on lacking change, as the primary target market seems to ask for more of the same. Now I hope the new COD doesn't lack innovation, but to line up on Day 1 (or 0) and put $60 towards this game seems more risky t...

I was actually planning on buying this bundle until the price drop. I read about the bundle price drops, I knew that the Sunset Bundle felt like a better deal. If I need a better hard drive, I can get an external one. However, the interesting part is that if you consider the game $60, the Xbox One itself is really only costing $290
