Just interested but why do they deserve it?
Don’t get me wrong I’m holding out for one and have even bought a DuelSense to use with my pc in the meantime. I must admit tho I am worried about the groundwork foundations of the console itself. Everything I see or read contains some form of harrowing and stupid design decisions that seem to be glossed over. The difficulty in providing back compatibility, transferring saves, updating games to ps5 version, no additional storage, ...
Scumbag
This game looks absolutely awful. It baffles me who allowed it to carry the name and why? It just makes no sense other than a cash grab of realising that we’re now getting rainbow 6 films and they can’t compete with the others so they simply need to switch to an almost comic book genre. So they can churn out crap.
Considering people believe they have a technological god in mark cerny. Sony really, really do struggle with any backend stuff.
The past 10 years of E3 have been terrible????
That’s news to the rest of us. As far as I remember it’s only been 2 years and that’s down to Sony, Nintendo and a few other members of the media trying to destroy it due to throwing their toys out because they don’t want to share the limelight.
Bought a DualSense on the basis of this game being given “native DuelSense Support” on PC. It hasn’t. It works including haptics etc. However when you open your map the trigger doesn’t work anymore so you can’t turn it over to see your objectives. Also if you’re at a workbench/shop the L1/R1 stop working so you can’t switch between weapons. Aiming is dreadful too but that’s the game engine not the controller.
Having 3 copy’s of Alan Wake already, despite how great the game is, I don’t think I could buy a 4th copy.
If you haven’t played it though buy it. One of the very best games of the 360/ps3 era. Still holds up really well.
Calm down ladies I’m not trying to upset any childish fanboys. It’s the best looking game in history and R&C is a great series with Insomniac being a great developer.
I’m just stating that he’s clearly uncomfortable talking about it and doesn’t want to agree or answer to the first set of ray tracing questions. In fact he pretty much confirms that they use stored memory images to reconstruct what you would typically believe as ray tracing.
He gets incredibly uncomfortable when asked about ray tracing and ray count. In fact it actually sounds like they’re not using ray tracing at all and using very clever memory reproduction/reconstruction techniques. He struggles to even say the word ray tracing never mind answer the questions directly. Very strange.
Edit* maybe a little premature with my comment hadn’t watched the whole thing through. But there’s certainly something that is very unconventional about it’s im...
I have the game already on pc, it’s great. Curious to know how it plays on console though. I can’t imagine how it would transfer to a controller.
Released here in the uk as well. Almost got one this morning.
I understand but that has nothing to do with what I said.
Developers make content, then sell you exactly what they have created nothing more. You are paying for what you have received, not what you personally make out of that content. In your logic of value people who enjoy playing the game often should pay £70 while those who don’t should be able to purchase the exact same product for less because it it less valuable despite it being exactly the same product…. Again, ...
Value should never be based on how much you can repeat the same content. Yes you may have played 400 hours MP over your 5 hours with the campaign. Just because you’ve repeated the same 8 maps, over and over again for 400 hours. That’s not value! This is the silly mentality that the industry has grabbed hold of and running with.
They’re selling you content. That is what you are paying for. You are not paying for time. That attitude needs to stop and people need to realise ho...
…they’ve proved that how exactly..?? 🧐
Great game on the pc. Really not sure what I would expect from a console version though.
Because people expect and complain when they’re easy to understand. I.e every one expects a feature rich update with a version 2.0/3.0/4.0. And the internet plasters bad publicity when all they got from their juicy v3.0 update was “stability improvements”.
I don’t mind them having the build date followed by the internal build number. Shows how far each build is.
All the colours look really, really tacky and cheap looking. I tried to order the black one last week for my PC. until I realised they were charging a premium for it because it was black…. So I passed, I’ll go without or buy another Xbox one when my current one finally dies.
Sony spin doctors on the case!
I may be mistaken but that looks like a sword you have to earn first with a custom skin on it. If the beta was anything to go by you only get basic weapons for each class then you have to buy the upgraded weapons with in game currency. The pre order sword is definitely not a basic weapon.
…All I’m hearing is a lot of fanboy stupidity.
