1440p is really not that taxing on even modest cards these days. I generally tend to reach the 100fps point on the latest games at max settings with my 2070 super. 4K yea I’d agree with you, it’s overkill but why on earth would you choose below a 1440p resolution is beyond me. I know it was a quick money grab port because it got such oddly negative press on PlayStation and they know it deserves more. I did however at least slightly think that they might of given it the full beans and added DLSS and RT because I think it would really suit it and make it a real stand out PC title in its own right. Which I then think they could of run with the media hyperbole it would of stirred up. Think they missed a trick if I’m honest.
Playing through it at the moment. Never really got into it originally don’t know whether it was just because it had a tendency to crash quite often. It runs flawlessly now. Not had a single crash I started over from scratch and I’m already pretty much back at where I was before.
The lighting is exceptional throughout tho. The best I’ve ever seen in a game. It runs at 60fps @1440p with absolutely everything maxed out on my rig. It looks pretty amazing.
If they bring out another “pro” console I’m done with Sony.
Looks like a good game but I won’t be paying £70 for it. Like it or not I’ll wait till it’s a sensible price.

So the first “screenshot” is clearly concept art of the image drawn previously. The second screenshot looks like pre-pre-alpha footage. if in fact it is real which I’m not 100% convinced of.
Really looking forward to this game but personally there’s nothing to get excited for here.
That’s capitalism for you. It doesn’t matter if the people at the top do a shitty job or rip people off. They’re always going to make money from it regardless. There are no real repercussions. The people below will take the fall.

Played through both games recently and they both hold up better than most games released to date. Have not aged badly at all.
So let me get this straight.. despite the pandemic shutting down factories and causing a massive shortfall of semiconductors all across the world making it near on impossible to actually find a console. It is the fastest selling console ever!?
Believing all these claims sure makes the world a complicated place.
I thought RE7 was a great return to form, especially in VR. Am I the only one who thinks RE8 looks like a completely garbage entry to the series though?
So great a game I bought it twice. Own it on PS4 and PC Still really enjoy playing it. Don’t really have any problems with cheaters and regularly come top of the table. The player base is pretty toxic though.

Basically no. It’s a CMOS battery, it’s the last line of internal memory no amount of firmware updates could stop it from losing its memory once it dies. It doesn’t stop it being a fairly none issue though as all you have to do is replace the battery and then correct the time. As long as the time is updated it will continue to work again completely as normal. That’s just the way they all work. You have to input the date and time to reestablish licenses.
So replace the battery if you need to. Those things have a shelf life of about 10-15+ years. At worst you would have to reinitialise the console to enter the date and time but you’d keep your account so all your games are still linked. You just might have to reinstall.
