Oh WOW what a month, now I'll have at least 4 PS4 games on launch & I also tried to buy Soul Sacrifice yesterday but couldn't find it in stock so that'll be awesome too. I quite like the look of all of those games & they're all free!

I think it's officially at the stage now where anything any of Microsoft's staff say is brushed off by even the general public as mindless/desperate PR nonsense.
When you add common sense to your argument though, the very simple reason for being annoyed is people are paying £450 for the console & £65 for the game when they can get the exact same experience for just £45 in total on their current console.
This may be all well & good for some people who will just decide to spend that £45 instead of £515 but it doesn't help the people who pre-ordered it based on the point blank lies that they were fed ...
I agree, there's no denying its common knowledge that the XBone was rushed out to release with PS4. Which was completely unnecessary in the first place & damaged them more than anything. As many developers have already stated, Microsoft didn't even have drivers available for the console until not too long ago.

I'm thinking about maybe picking it up on PC if it turns out any good at some point but it has absolutely nothing to do with Microsoft at all.
Microsoft's current PR, marketing & management teams all need showing the door & get a group of fresh employees that actually have a clue about what they're doing!
I think what really digs the knife in is not entirely just because it's a 720p game but the fact that the engine is so poor (graphically) in the first place with so little geometry etc & the best they can make out of it is 720p. That's shocking!!
