The only thing worse than Microsoft joining the console business would be Apple doing it. Fortunately, I doubt they'll gain much traction.

"BioWare says..."

Enough talking. Show something. This is ridiculous. It makes me realize how great it is when a company just puts out a teaser and shuts up about their game until public builds are ready to be previewed. BioWare just keeps patting themselves on the back about things nobody but them can see, and have been doing so for upwards of a year in regards to this game.

This was my favorite game on my Wii U when I still had it, and my overall GOTY for 2014. It really bugs me that hardly anybody has played it because it was doomed to an unpopular platform. It should be ported elsewhere.

Oh boy.

- Steam is DRM, sure. DRM is not inherently evil. It all depends on what you do with it. You do realize that Sony and Microsoft can kill current gen consoles on a whim, correct? Valve cannot do that to my PC. Hardware DRM is far more insidious and permanent than software DRM. Plus, you don't have to buy your games on Steam a lot of the time. There are many options. Storefronts with and without DRM, or even old-fashioned discs for us grannies with optical drives in...

I mean, you could. You can do anything.

I don't feel like the most savvy consumer when I pay for console subscription fees, or for the same games at lower, locked settings for equal or greater prices.

What you save in money, you pay twofold in dignity.

What? 2 for 20 pounds? I got all of the Fallout ones for $11 each.

Picking on people who have likely been picked on throughout most of their lives. Gaming may have become trendy in the last decade or so, but there's still a very large base of social outcasts. You're salting wounds of young people, more often than not.

"dollars doesn't equal success"

I guess businesses have had it wrong all these... millennia. Pack it in, guys. saywat247 says money doesn't matter. You've been foolishly asking for money for the things you create. Really, in hindsight, it does seem really, really, really stupid to make money for creating things. How did we not know this sooner? Thank you for your insight, saywat247. You've moved humanity forward greatly this day.

I wouldn't make a Skyrim comparison. I'm 30+ hours in and the story of the game is essentially "find a V8 engine", with very little in terms of side story. Bethesda RPGs are packed with narrative, big and small. Mad Max has even less story than Fury Road, but I still love it.

Destiny seems like a morbid experiment to see how badly you can treat players of a game before they break.

The PS4 and Vita are the only devices in my house that have latency issues. PCs, Smart TVs, phones, etc. Everything else runs fine. Even my Wii U when I still had it, for all the crap Nintendo takes about their online offerings. Sony really skimps on WiFi in their hardware, and I shouldn't have to route wires through my house for their failures. Everything I own runs flawlessly on WiFi except for their gear.

Man, I feel salty tonight.

I regret renewing my sub back in March. I'm essentially just paying to play laggy online multi with the handful of friends I have that use their PS4 often, in the off chance that they didn't already sell whatever game I bought to play with them. Cloud space is too small to hold more than a dozen saves or so, and the IGC offerings typically fall into one of two categories:

1) Bad game unworthy of hard drive space
2) Own the superior version on PC already

The most amazing thing about the PC version of this game is how well optimized it is. It has all sorts of graphics settings, and I'm running them completely maxed out and never drop below 60 FPS on a 970. Makes me all the more eager to play Just Cause 3.

You can list as many games as you want, but I wouldn't force my worst enemy to play half of the things you posted. A quick glance over at Amazon shows the cards are also still absurdly overpriced, though slightly lower than when I bought my 32gb. Putting on the fanboy blinders and refusing to criticize does not help Sony, nor does it help us, their consumers. I love the hardware, but they killed this thing before it even launched.

Here's my physical Vita library.

This game has grabbed me really hard. Put about 10 hours into it so far today, kicking off my 3-day weekend. It's interesting to see the stark contrast between critics and gamers. It's like the critics are just all sitting in their little echo chamber. It's sitting at a 95% on Steam right now, with 3,918 reviews from people who actually own it. I've yet to hear a bad word from any friends who are also currently playing it.

As somebody who still brings his Vita to work nearly everyday, that thing has been long dead. Sony crippled it at launch with those insanely overpriced proprietary memory cards. The lack of developer support that followed was only natural. The thing was essentially sabotaged from within.

You've been able to filter out PC players in the PS4 version since launch, if I remember correctly. The default setting is to connect with everyone.

Might be in the minority here, but I think the old games were garbage compared to the reboot. I played the originals on PC and PS1 back in the day and the jank-ass controls made platforming a real pain. The worst thing they can do is return to classic Tomb Raider. Onward and upward.

They should have had him keep the US title and booked a return for Kurt Angle to feud with him, assuming Angle is done messing around with dead promotions.
